Tony Stark: Genius, Billionaire, Playboy and Philanthropist. The sole owner of your affection and interest. The man who identifies as Iron man and does not hide it from the world. An anomaly inside an anomaly, wholly worth studying in its entity. Your secret crush.
It wasn't intentional, you didn't plan to like him. Ok, love him. It just happened. You realised it around a year ago, the truth of it hit you like a freight truck. You were in the kitchen showing Thor how to "cook" Pop tarts in the microwave. When seemingly from no where Stark shows up, clearly hungover from a night of self-pity drinking, as beautiful and as well put together as ever. "Is there something on my face (Y/n)" he asks seemingly annoyed by your staring and it hit you. You loved Tony Stark. You wanted to protect him from his own self-destructive patterns and hide him away. Hidden with you.
A year had slowly gone by. Natasha was the first to find out, a whole month after you did. You were undercover on a mission together, and you confessed your love in your sleep one night. Fair to say when you woke up you were bombarded with questions of a varied nature, as well as claims to already knowing. Sworn to secrecy Nat remained the only one who knew.
Until another mission, five months after Nat found out. It was supposed to be a simple in and out. And it was, if not including the fact you were shot three times in the stomach. Dr Helen Cho was patching you up and Bruce watched on, learning how to do the same just incase it happened again. When that attractive, Genius, Idiot walked in to check on how I was doing. Because "We wouldn't want you out of action for long (Y/N/N)". Needless to say you were grateful it was Banner checking your Heart Rate Stats. According to him they were through the roof, obvious as to who I was Pining after. He too promised not to tell Tony, else he would be left with a bruised eye Hulk or not.
Nobody else has found out since, to your knowledge that is. And you don't plan on telling him. If he found out, which he won't, he wouldn't want to know you. Which is why you plan on never telling him. Never. Not even if your life depended on it.

Why me. Why couldn't she love Bruce? Heck, even Falcon would be a better choice. I don't deserve her affection. Not that she has to tell me, she can't know I know. Because then I'll have to tell her I love her too. If only she and Nat could be quieter when talking.
There is literally no option that could make this turn out well. Other than the option that she gets over me and moves on. I don't deserve her. At all.
I am a broken mess. I have too many problems too be one of her problems. I couldn't do that, not to her. She's everything I am not. She's beautiful and attractive. Kind and wise. Heck I've loved her since I met her. But she's to light for me to corrupt with my darkness. I have to make her hate me. No matter how much it hurts.

Lunch at the Avengers Tower was one of the only scheduled things in the teams lives. The only normal in the day to day. Unspoken seating arrangements that remained no matter who was absent. Because within the hectic schedule of the Avengers, you all enjoyed to feel normal again. You and Loki always sat opposite each other, you were the only person not intimidated by his threats of throwing a knife across the table to surprise you. You had become close friends with the trickster and trusted him enough to believe he wouldn't stab you. At least not as badly as he stabs Thor. Sat next to you were Clint and of course to make life difficult Tony.
You often found yourself distracted by his presence, sometimes leading you to forget Loki's existence. Or in his terms neglect Loki's existence. This would often cause for a foot to stomp against yours so as to draw your attention to Loki. Loki worked out your feelings for Tony on his own. Often a great weapon against you when nobody else was around. After all the God of Lies can tell when you lie to him.
