Lily's P.O.V.
I flinched as he slammed the car door. I got out and just watched him. "Mason I...it didn't really hurt. The nurse said I would be fine. She said to make sure to put ice on my lip every now and then." I started feeling sick.
"I don't care Lily!"
"Calm down please! It was nothing!"
"Nothing?! She hit you! And for what reason did you get hit for?!" He was furious.
I sighed. "She said I was flirting with her boyfriend Gregory Thomas."
"That loser?!"
"Calm down, I wasn't flirting with him. I was working on some Chemistry homework with him for the lab. I didn't understand what to do, so he was helping me."
"You promise me?"
"Why would I lie to you Mason?" I teared up. Maybe to not get myself killed.
We both sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm just protective. Especially with everything going on. I just want you safe."
"And I know Mason, but still. I can take care of myself. I can do it. I can handle her and her mean self."
"Mean? That's a little kid word."
"I know, but I don't really curse and you know it." We both laughed a little and headed inside the apartment and smiled as we closed the door behind us. "Anyway, I'll be fine. Trust me."
"I trust you. Just not her. Or him."
I looked at him then looked down. "Listen, one of her so called friends probably made the assumption or rumor or whatever, but it's gonna be okay..." I yawned. "I'm taking a nap."
"Want me to join you?"
"No thanks. I think I can sleep by myself." I went to the room and laid down in bed, extremely exhausted. I closed my eyes and thought of today and what I would have done.
