Jacob had a sister that was two years older and when she was 18 and he was 16 she graduated from high school and she joined the army and would always write until one day two men showed up with bad news about his sister Ashley.

Ashley Jo Black was one of four siblings. She had two older twin sisters Rachel and Rebecca. And, she had a younger brother that she loves dearly. Also, she is older than her younger brother Jacob by two years and was younger than her sisters by three years.
She is closer to her little brother then her sisters. As of right now, she is 18 while her brother is 16 and, her sisters are 21. Her sisters left home because it was too hard to be there after their mother was killed in a car accident. The memories were too much for Rachel and Rebecca.
Now, Ashley had graduated from high school and, signed up for the army. She is spending time with everyone before she gets shipped out. Ashley is now hugging everyone goodbye before she leaves and, she didn't know when she will see them again. Then Ashley told Jacob she will write when she can.
Then Ashley left for the army. She had been gone for five months. And, she wrote a letter to everyone to let them know how she is doing. Her dad told her Jacob had shifted. Ashley has always known about shifters. Now, she sent them a letter to let them know she won't be able to write for a while because they are going into war.
Ashley and, the rest of the platoon were out fighting for there country. Then, Ashley got shot along with some of her other team. But, when they found her she was badly injured. By, the time she got back to the medical tent she passed away from her injuries and, the war was finally over.
Back in La Push, Washington Billy Black was at home with his son Jacob Black and his two daughters Rachel and Rebecca was visiting. Then, there was a knock on the door and, Jacob answered it. There were two men in military uniform so he invited them in.
And, Billy and the girls noticed. Then Billy said, "Can I help you"? They then said, "Do you have a daughter named Ashley Jo Black"? Billy then said "Yes". One of the men said, "I am sorry to inform you that, Ashley was killed in battle she was badly injured and, she passed away from her injuries before they got to the medical tent"!
They, all broke down crying and, the men left and, Jacob ran out of the house. He then shifted and, howled and the others showed up and asked Jacob "What's wrong"? Then they heard all of the conversation and, they all cried. And, they all shifted back and, then went to Jacob's house to support Jacob's family.
And, Charlie Swan and Bella Swan showed up. Charlie noticed everyone was crying and, he asked: "What's wrong"? Then, Jacob ran outside and, sat on the ground and cried. Billy then said, "Charlie do you and Bella remember my daughter Ashley"? They both said "Yes"!
Billy then said "Two men in military uniform showed up today and, told us that Ashley died in battle. She got shot and, was badly injured and, on the way to the medical tent she passed away"! Both Charlie and Bella cried. And, everyone in La Push heard about what happened to Ashley. When it was the funeral day it was packed.
Ashley was loved by everyone in La Push. And, when they were about done with the funeral there was a 21 gun salute and, at the cemetery, before she would be put in the ground two of the soldiers folded up the flag that was on her casket and, gave it to her father.
After the funeral, they had a bonfire with food. It would take time for them to heal from Ashley's death especially Jacob because Ashley and, him was really close. They would do everything together and, now when Jacob graduates from high school or get married and, have kids she won't be there with him to support him. And, now that Ashley is gone she won't be able to find a man to marry and, have her own family with kids that Jacob could spoil.
Ever since her funeral the family and, the pack, the elders and, Charlie picked a date to visit her grave and, have a get together in memory of Ashley Jo Black. And, every year there would be a memorial for Ashley's death for defending her country. There are times at night you could hear Jacob cry himself to sleep cause his best friend and, favorite sister is gone. Jacob still is hurting over her death and, it has been two years.
Jacob would disappear at times and, you would either find him in her room or the cemetery visiting her grave or even there spot at the beach. And, everyone knew he would never be the same without Ashley because when they were younger they were joined at the hip and, they would protect each other.
Then, one day the pack was on patrol when they spotted a vampire that wasn't the Cullens. And, while attacking it got its arms wrapped around Jacob and, squeezed and shattered all of his bones. The rest of the pack took care of the vampire.
They, then seen Jacob on the ground in human form and, he wasn't moving they checked for a pulse and, there wasn't one. So, they picked up his body and, went to Billy's and, him and the girls were outside and seen Jacob. And, the pack told them a vampire shattered all of his bones and, he passed.
They then had a funeral for Jacob and, they buried him next to his sister Ashley. Billy knew that Jacob would be happy up there with Ashley but, they would all miss them.
