The Omega timeline was abuse with energy thanks to the council meeting that had been called out of nowhere and, as of right now, was not going well. Or at least that was what Ink was picking up from the fact that the majority of the council members were yelling at each other. Honestly the Creator didn't even know how this had happened, he was only gone a little over two weeks. Yet somehow everything went to chaos in that time. He honestly should have been expecting it, every time he was gone for more then a week and not keeping his eyes on the multivers something went wrong. Usually though it was because of a ton of geniside runs happening at once, from what he was hearing though it seemed like there had been a mass raid by Nightmare's gang on at least twenty or so AUs this time.
Currently ink was writting down all the AUs that were hit as well as what all the yelling was about, basicly the councle members were arguing on whether this was just a random event or if it was the beginning of an all out war, Ink suspected it was the former. Normally he would be in the fray of the yelling trying to calm down the arguments since he didn't want it to end up turning into a huge fight or day dreaming about some random thing not noticing that there even was a fight. Right now though Ink was without his paint vials and in essence for the moment without his emotions and the motivation to do either of those things. It felt odd not to have his emotions there to provide direction, but he would survive.
Ink watched as Classic, Aka Undertale sans, tried to calm down an argument between Red, one of the two major Underfell Sanses, and Razz, Aka Swapfell Sans, that looked like it was about to get physical any second. On the other hand there was a three way yelling match between Outer, Aka Outertale sans, Sci, Aka science sans, and Stretch, Aka Underswap's Papyrus. From what Ink was hearing Stretch was positive that this was a sign that the group getting ready for a large scale war while Outer was exclaiming that this was to random to be prep for large scale war since none of the AUs attacked where at all useful to weaken if they were getting ready for war. Sci on the other hand was actually attempting to argue a third option, saying that maybe the group was using the attacks as a diversion to gather supplies since he had talked to the Sanses of the attacked AUs and they had said that there was some stuff missing.
All in all the meeting room was loud and chaotic, so it was just like normal. Everything went quiet though when Dream decided that he had had enough of listening to all the arguments and yelled "Would everyone just shut up!"
Ink watched from the corner of his eye as every other sans and papyrus in the room froze and turned to look at Dream, some of them with fear on their faces because they could tell that Dream was extremely mad. Suddenly the "embodiment of positivity" called "Ink?"
"Yes?" Ink said with a monotone voice as he kept writing notes on what he had heard, part of him questioned if the others noticed the fact that he hadn't shown a single emotion since he got here. Then again, they probably thought he was just tired from whatever he had been doing. Pluse they likely couldn't tell that he didn't have his paintvials at the moment due to the fact that he had his jacket on and ziped up, hiding the missing paint sash.
Dream then pulled him out of the side thought as he asked "What do you think of the sudden attacks by Nightmare's gang?"
Ink pulled his eyed away from his notes to look at Dream who was glaring at him, he likely was mad at the Creator for yelling at him when he was only trying to help. The glare didn't affect him right now though so Ink just set down his notes before saying once again in a monotone voice with his white eye light looking directly at the embodiment of positivity "since I was out with other work when this attack happened I can't say for sure which hypothesis Is correct. But if what I heard from the arguments is correct," Ink paused for a moment to look at all the councle members to see some of them looking emberesed while others had theirs arms crossed and we're refusing to look at Ink, before continuing with "then I think that this was either a randome attack or a supply run where Nightmare's team was trying to hide the fact that they were getting supplies by making it seem like they were just attacking the AU."
Dream seemed to frown at the explanation before asking "what makes you so sure?"
Ink didn't even miss a beat as he replied with a blank face "Dream, we both know if your brother was the one who set this up he wouldn't do anything like this without a plan as well as knowing it has a good chance of working. And going to war with only four people by your side against millions of opponents is near suicide. Unless he had a sure fire plan and or a secret weapon that no knows about then he would have no reason to attack those AUs in a war like capacity."
The explanation seemed to calm down the members of the council who were worried about an immanent war, but one particular councle member who had been quiet till this point by the name of Reaper, aka Reapertake sans, decided to let the cat out of the bag as he asked "Ink, why do you have your jacket on instead of just having it around your waist like normal?"
At that every Sans and Papyrus in the room decided that now was the right time to notice this particular fact causing all the council members to whisper to each other about the oddity. Whelp, looks like the Creator was going to have to test his acting skills and make up a convincing lie. Ink quickly put on a mask of annoyance and gave a sigh as he rubed his temples before saying with what he hoped was tiredness in his voice "am I not allowed to wear my jacket normaly or something? And if you must know why I've been feeling a bit under the weather the past few days after checking on a bunch of AUs to make sure they were ok, which I must add I was doing for two weeks none stop so I put it on to try and stay warm."
That seemed to get him a load of sympathy from all the other councle members, including Dream who's glare softened at that though it's obvious he is still mad at Ink. So Ink quickly switched his mask to a more tired one as he said "look, I get why you all called this and if you want to think up some plan to make sure Nightmare's gang doesn't do something like this again I'm all for it. But can I please be exscused to go rest? I don't want whatever this is getting worse and then having to go fight Error or something and just passing out mid fight."
Ink watched as the councle members whispered to each other for a bit to come to a consensus before Classic stud up and said speaking for the other members “OK, go get some rest Ink, you look like you need it. We'll figure out if there is something we should do to make sure this doesn't happen again and send someone to tell you if we figure out what."
Ink nodded in thanks keeping up his tired mask before gathering his notes and opening a portal to the doodle sphere that was facing away from from where the bed Error was resting on was. Once he was sure he had everything he gave the council a what he hoped was tired smile and a wave goodbye before heading through the portal back to his home dimension.
Upon entering his his dimension and closing the portal Ink released a sigh of relief as his feeling returned to him it was nice to have them back, whenever he was without them he always felt hollow. But as Ink looked over at the bed where the Destroyer was resting the Creator knew that leaving his paint vials here with his "enemy" was the best chose even if he felt like something was missing without them. He wanted to gain Error's trust and this was the best way to prove he ment no harm.
Silently the Creator walked over to the bed where he had left the Destroyer to check on the other. As Ink looked over Error he noticed that the other was in a different position then before, whether it was because the other had woken up at some point or because he had shifted position Ink didn't know but it was good to know that he was probably mostly okay.
Once he was sure the other was probably not going to wake up for at least a bit longer Ink sighed before heading over to his small area and yawning as he collapsed on his beanbag. Honestly he was fairly tired, poping through AUs for two weeks straight was extremely tiring. Maybe he could take a few minutes to rest. And with that Ink lied back on his beanbag and basicly passed out.-an unknown amount of time later-
Error was faster to wake up the second time around, while he had gotten to sleep peacefully for once and part of him just wanted to go back to sleep because he didn't get that very often he know that he needed to see if ink was back so that he could talk to him. So with a groan of anoyence the Destroyer pushed himself up into a seated position before getting up shakly from the bed gripping the bedpost to keep from tipping over as as he got use to standing for the first time in who knows how long.
Once he was sure he wasn't about to collapse out of no were he let go of the bed post and took his first steps ever in the Doodle sphere. But that wasn't Error's main focus as he walked around, he was just looking for Ink. After a minute or two of walking and looking around he spotted the Creator lying down on what he assumed was a beanbag. Error raised an eyebrow at this before walking over to see what the other was doing only to find the Creator to be fast asleep on the beanbag.
This confused Error greatly, shouldn't the other be on guard just encase he woke up? This made Error nervous seeing as you would only do this if you either trust someone a lot or if you knew that you had the advantage if you were attacked while you were asleep. Since Error was extremely perinoid, something that in the past had saved him a few times from being hurt horribly, Error assumed it was the latter and with extream causion and a shaky hand Error lightly shuck the Creator hoping to wake him up and not get attacked.
Upon shaking the Creator's shoulder Error watched at as Ink slowly opened his eye sockets and stared at the destroyer for a a few seconds with a look confusion. After which he shot up into a seated position causing Error to basicly fling himself backwards so as to not be accidentally hit by the other leading to Error falling to the floor in front of the beanbag. Error groaned a bit at the sudden coalition with the floor, but was thankfully fine other then possibly having bruised himself some where.
Ink though for some reason seemed to panic at design this happen and shot to his feet and moving to kneel next to the destroyer before saying "oh my God, I'm so sorry Error! I didn't mean to scare you! Are you okay?!" Before seemingly moving to check him over for injuries.
This freaked Error out though, since the words and motion didn't really register to him as worried but as aggression, so before Ink could touch him the Destroyer with his good arm pulled himself away from the other breathing heavily to keep down the panic trying to come forth. This seemed to confuse the Creator though who tried to follow the Destroyer asking "Error? You okay?"
This did nothing to help Error though with his panic or the now growing nausea which caused him to cover his mouth hoping to keep the small amount of magic he had gathered in his system. The gesture Error was unintentionally making though seemed to register to Ink though and he quickly backed of before grabbing a bucket he had made just encase before being called away by the council and slid it over to the Destroyer. Error readily accepted it still taking deep breaths as he worked to try and not throw up... It didn't work... The Destroyer just found himself throwing up into the bucket.
When he finished Error leaned his head against the edge as he caught his breath, mumbling to himself that he was thoroughly fed up with throwing up.
Through the whole thing Ink remained quiet a few feet away from the destroyer, not making a sound as he sat down on the floor across from Error. Eventually when Error finally got his breathing back to normal he asked with a groan "why?"
Ink's head tilted in confusion at the question before asking "what do you mean?"
Error lifted his head up giving the other a weak glare as he elaborated "why do you want to talk? Why did you take me here? Why did you treat my wounds? Why did you give me the equivalent of your soul!? Why!? WHY!? WHY!?! I DON'T GET IT! YOU HATE ME LIKE EVERY ONE ELSE! SO WHY ARE YOU TREATING ME LIKE I AM ANY THING BUT EVIL!?" as he went on Error couldn't help but let his confusion, fear, and anger about not understanding what was happening get to as started yelling.
Error didn't expect the answer he got from Ink though that left him staring in shock at the other who was just looking down in guilt at the floor "Because I realised I didn't even try to learn why."
