This planet was discovered early by humanity and was fought for by the covenant and the UNSC But neither side was able to kick the other off world now humans, elites, jackals and grunts. Live together in relative harmony. You are a UNSC Marine stationed on the planet meant to help keep the peace. And you're either doing a really good job or do even need to do your job. Yea it's option 2 the they rarely do much your currently on patrol near the border

Your POV

Me and my squad Whiskey 2-2 are on a standard patrol we ran through pretty quick meaning we have some down time so I found a nice high up rock and laid down, enjoying the scenery I pulled out my binoculars to look on there side of the planet. And I see a jackal sniper and an elite Spotter? Maybe I don't know and some basic infantry

Elite's POV

There he is. That human me and Crosseye (a jackal sniper) are watching him admiring him taking in his glorious features his smooth S/C and his H/L and H/C he's so perfect I noticed Crosseye drooling, and my breathing picked up

Your POV

They sure are staring I waved and the elite looked away heh. Never thought an elite would get nervous oh well I should probably head back

Me: Alright let's head back to base
Soldiers: Copy
Then We RTB'd (Returned to base)

Jackal's POV

I watched as my mate ran off wish I could just pop his team, then him in the leg and keep his all to ourselves. Ever since we saw him the whole outpost was obsessed with him not it was also the end of my shift. lucky me my shift let's me see him all day~

Your POV

We just got back and it was finally time to eat so I started walking down to the mess. When I got here I was starving I sat with my team to talk with them

Squad mate: hey Y/N.
Me: 'Sup
Squad mate 2: hey uhh Y/N?
Me: Yeah?
Squad mate 2: While I was providing overwatch I noticed something
Me: What?
Squad mate 2: the jackal and elite on watch
Me: Jesus man just spit it out.
I said in a demanding tone
Squad mate 2: They were staring right at you. The whole time you were there!
Me: Seriously?
Squad mate 2, 3 and, 4: yeah we all saw it!
They said in unison
Me: what do you think they want?
Squad mate 3: Hell if I know.
Squad mate 4: Maybe you like killed their parents and they want revenge!
He shoutted
Me: Could be.
I said calmly while everyone else looked at him like he was insane
Me: It's getting late we should wrap this up
I said finishing my food

We ate our food as fast as we could. To get our asses to sleep we woke up and got dressed ran drills the usual some marines went missing during a nighttime patrol which got everyone on edge some soldiers coming up with absolutely ludicrous theories some more believable and hell some I think could very well be true then I overheard a conversation between some marines

Marine 1: what do you think happened
Marine 2: Think? Man I was nearby when it happened
Marine 1: what do you mean?
Marine 2: I heard shots yelling even grenades when ran as fast as we could but when we arrived they were dead. and strange enough out of the 9 marines 4 were female
Marine 1: okay? And that means?
Marine 2: on there skin words in plasma burns stuff like "Slut" "whore" and "man stealer"
Marine 1: What the hell man. Either you're the best liar I've ever heard or that true
Marine 2: I swear it's all true man.

"What the hell?" Was the only thing I could think of. Was that all true if so... that would mean the swords of sanghelios attacked us or maybe something else who knows could it have been treason rebels maybe a new unknown opponent it had to be well unless we have full proof we just need to strengthen patrols luckily my patrol shift isn't for 3 days
