A/N:In Japanese culture, you show respect by saying the last name as if it were their first name.
In this AU, Midoriya(Izuku) is supposed to be referred to as Todoroki, and Todoroki(Shōto) is supposed to be referred to as Midoriya.
I didn't wanna confuse you guys so I just kept with it.

"Todoroki."Midoriya walked up to him after class.

"Ah, yes, Midoriya-kun?"Todoroki stumbled to gather his things.

"..Do you need help?"Midoriya asked, leaning nearer to the table.

"A-ah!No!Anyways, what do you need?"Todoroki turned to Midoriya.

"~~~~~"Midoriya blushed under his breath.

"What was that?"Todoroki asked, walking closer so he could hear.

"Do you wanna go out..?Like..To eat?"Midoriya asked, trying to hide his flustered state.

"Oh!Sure!Where do you want to go?"Todoroki packed his bags and put on his backpack.

"There's this old sushi shop near by.They serve the most original sushi's you can find."Midoriya scratched the side of his cheeks.

"Oh!I love sushi!"Todoroki smiled, grabbing the older boy's hand.

Midoriya blushed harder, hiding his face behind his arm.

"By the way, Midoriya-kun, where'd you get that big red mark on your face?"Todoroki kicked.

"Ah..."Midoriya slowed down."My mother..She poured boiling hot water on the left side of my face because it resembled my bastard of a father.I don't blame her..."

"Oh..I'm sorry to hear that..."Todoroki saddened his expression.

"No.It's..Fine.It was quite a long time ago."Midoriya sighed.

"We're here."Midoriya said, standing in the front of a large sushi buffet.

"W-Woah!This is so fancy..Is there a way we can pay for it?"Todoroki rubbed his chin.

"Ah.My family comes to this buffet so often that we get a discount every time we book a table."Midoriya opened the front door, waiting for Todoroki to stop admiring the decoration and to come on inside.

"Woah...!So fancy!"Todoroki awed, leaving Midoriya blushing like a madman.

"Too cute..."Midoriya thought.

"Ah!If it isn't my favorite customer?How are you doing, Midoriya?"The buffet staff waved.

"I'm doing fine.Do you have a table for two?I'm with my friend today."Midoriya said, looking back at Todoroki for reassurance.

"I'm your friend?You accepted me?YAY!!"Todoroki jumped.

Midoriya chuckled and paid for the table.

"This place is so fancy!!!"Todoroki awed.

"You already said that."Midoriya smiled.

"Woah!!So cool!!"Todoroki walked around the food.

"Pick whatever.My treat."Midoriya rubbed the back of his head, blushing.

"Oh, really???"Todoroki beamed.

"Yes."Midoriya took Todorokis hand and seated him.

Midoriya waved over the waitress and asked Todoroki if he wanted to drink something.

"Oh!Do you have sweet tea?"Todoroki asked.

"Ah.I would like sweat tea too."Midoriya said.

"Okay!Please enjoy your food!"The waitress smiled.

"Go get something to eat, Todoroki."

After they finished eating, they went to the park.

"Do you like anybody, Todoroki?"Midoriya said, sitting on the poles of the swing.

"Uh...No, not really."Todoroki swung on the swings.

"Well..Do you like me?Like, as a very close friend?"Midoriya clutched his legs.

"Of course!Do you like anybody?"Todoroki stopped swinging.

"I do.."Midoriya monotone voice wavered.

"Oh!Really?Who is it?"Todoroki got off of the swings.

"Uhm.He's a really close friend of mines."Midoriya stood up.

This is the time Midoriya decided to man up.

"There's this boy I really like.He's extremely nice and everybody loves him."Midoriya sighed,"But that just means he's too good for me.."

"What??No way!Midoriya, you're always surrounded by girls and you're actually really really good looking!"Todoroki walked up.

"Besides, whoever you like is totally gonna accept you!If he doesn't, he's a tooootaaaal idiot!"Todoroki crossed his arms.

Midoriya chuckled,"Don't call yourself an idiot..."

The silence grew,"W-What do you mean?"Todoroki started to blush.

"Todoroki.I like you.But..You're too good for me so.."Midoriya tears up,"Can you just deny me so I can get rid of these feelings?"

"U-uh...Midoriya-kun..."Todoroki blushes.

"It's Uhm..I..U-uhh..."Todoroki stuttered, trying to find a good response.

"It's okay, Todoroki..I understand.."Midoriya got up as fast as he could, sprinting away with guilt and tears.

"I'm an idiot!I asked him too early and now our friendship is ruined!I was too impatient!Too stupid!We're just close friends and that is all we're going to be!"Midoriya thought while running.

"W-wait!Midoriya-Kun!"Todoroki called out.

He didn't even think of running after the boy.
