(Ash's POV)

"Stella!" I yell looking around the house,"Stella! where are you?" I look under a table as I hear giggling.

"Ash! I'm up here!" I look up and see my best friend sitting in the windowsill. I smile as I look up at her and she smiles back, waving to me,"Come up here!"

I nod with a grin as I grab a chair and drag it to the window so I can reach. I step up into the seat with the legs a little wobbly but Stella grabs my hands as she laughs at me,"You're clumsy! But I won't let you fall!" she beams as she pulls me up to sit beside her as we look outside.

The town below us was rejoicing as a parade of soldiers made their way down the street. The people cheered as a young man with dark brown hair and green eyes leads the troops with a small half smile on his face as he walks to the crowd. Another man stands beside him with a smile that reached his gray eyes. His jet black hair was sticking up a bit as he also waved to the crowd. He kept shouting words to the other man that made him smile wider. They shook hands and gave each other a side embrace as they continued down the street.

"It's over! the Titan threat is history we won!" The troops shout together, making the crowd celebrate more.

"I'm so glad the fighting is finally over," Stella says to me as she leans her head on my shoulder,"Eren Jäger is a real hero and so is Corporal Levi."

"I've never seen the corporal so happy, this is truly a great day," I reply as I lean on head on hers,"We can live how they envisioned."

"Why don't you just call him your father?" she laughs and I smile a bit.

"Because I respect him too much to just call him my dad." I explain, and she smiles up at me.

"I know you do." She says simply as she wraps her tiny arms around my waist. I feel butterflies stir in my stomach and I put one of my arms around her.

I may only be eleven, and not know many things, but there is one thing I know.

I love Stella.

And yes that's a huge word for someone my age and I have a whole life ahead of me to use that word, but I know I can't picture going a day without her beside me. She's the reason I wake up in the morning, She makes me want to be clean, she makes me want to eat all my vegetables so I can be strong enough for her, She makes me want to grow up so I can be the man that's worthy of her.

"Ash," I'm brought back into reality by her sweet voice,"what are you thinking about?"

"How much I love you." I say simply and she pulls away to look at me.

"I love you too." She smiles at me and wraps her arms around my shoulders, burying her face in my neck. I slowly feel my skin become wet and her shoulders start to shake.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask with a worried tone as I rub her back and run my fingers through her hair.

"Your dad," she mumbles into my skin and cries a little more.

"But my dad adores you, her treats you like his own daughter."

"That's not what I meant." she sighs, sending shivers down my body with her breathe,"You're gonna grow up just like him."

"Whats wrong with that? He is humanity's best." I say confused.

"Exactly, but that means you're going to become a solider too. and then you're going to leave me. Just like my-"
