rain starts pouring and i leave the scene

the cat, too, is nowhere to be seen

i find shelter in a room that's dark and cold

but due to circumstances it was as good as gold

lighting a fire, i lay the matchstick down

crimson sparks light up and hit the ground

it spreads and orange fills the room with its light

just like it did that fateful night.
