Summary: Cravings hit the worst time.

“I’M SO SICK OF THIS FAKE LOVE.”

Groaning, Jin rolls over and slaps whatever is making the noise, that being his phone. Upon hearing something clash with the floor, Jin wakes up with a start and sees that his pink not-out-of-date-at-all phone is on the floor and ringing. He had set that ringtone for only one person. You.

Furrowing his brows and looking at the time on his phone, he sees that it’s 2 am. Sighing, he picks up the phone and is immediately met with your hushed voice

“Jin, I really need your help right now. Don’t ask any questions; just come over right now. Get here as fast as you can, please,” you whispered frantically, then hung up.

‘What the fuck?’ Jin wondered. He’s obviously concerned but it’s 2 am and you always call him for the weirdest shit. What if you were injured or there’s an intruder in your house?

He remembers your rushed voice and decided on his resolve. Immediately getting up and grabbing his coat and keys, Jin dashes out the door and into his car, driving to your house.

When arriving at your house, he notices that nothing looks out of the ordinary. No windows or doors broken. No suspicious-looking vehicle around the vicinity. Then he sees a light flicker on and a shadow passing by.

Rushing out of the car and into the house, Jin immediately looks around for your figure and any sign of resistment.

“(Y/N)?? Are you here?”

Silence.

Then a crash in the direction in front of him causes Jin to jump at least 4 feet into the air.

He considers ditching you for the safety of his own car but remembers that you’re his best friend. Inhaling deeply, Jin slowly approaches the direction in which the noise came from.

Upon reaching the corner, he musters up all the courage he has and quickly turns the corner, and screeches at the top of his lungs. It’s a defense mechanism, he thinks.

Hearing another scream, Jin widens his eyes and looks behind the counter, seeing a crouched figure in front of the pantry.

“JIN, WHAT THE FUCK?! I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK WHAT’S GOTTEN INTO YOU?”
Oh.

It was only you.

You were alive and safe.

Huh.

“I-I uh… I thought there was a robber or something so… I tried screaming to scare them? But it was only you?” Jin blinked owlishly as he tried to come up with an explanation. Truth be told, he knew his plan was terrible since there was a possibility of it backfiring--that is if there was an actual intruder.

You merely gave him a weird look and went back to your search in the pantry.

“Ah! You said I needed to come here as soon as possible and it was an emergency. What’s the emergency if you’re not in any danger?” Jin asked as he remembered the reason why he was here.

“Oh, that. I was craving for some brownies, heh,” you shrugged without turning back to him. “Everyone has cravings in the middle of the night and that just happened to be me tonight. And well, you know me, I can’t bake for shit so… That’s where you come in!”

“That’s seriously why you called me up at 2 am?” Jin was sure he was going to get grey hairs from you. He knew he should’ve just stayed home in his cozy, warm bed. But out of the goodness of his heart, he rushed to your rescue… Only to find out that there was no actual emergency and you weren’t in any danger.

“Yep! See, I knew I could rely on you, JinJin!” you exclaimed.
“Please stop relying on me.”

“Nope. Never. No one else puts up with me except for you, so now you’re stuck with me forever!”

Releasing the biggest sigh ever, Jin pinches the bridge of his nose and rolls his eyes before replying, “I honestly don’t even know myself, why I even put up with you.”

“Because you love me~” you replied in a sing-song voice.

“I hate that you’re right.”

You giggle before gasping, “Aha! Found you!” and holding up a box. It’s a brownie box.

Jin squints his eyes at the box and exasperatedly says, “Fine. I’ll do this once. Once. And you must watch how I make it, okay? I don’t understand how you don’t understand how to make this when it has instructions on the box, (Y/N).”

Shrugging, you reply with a simple “I don’t know either.”

Jin grabs the box from you as you go to sit behind the island counter, watching as immediately gets to work.

Sensing that you are watching him, Jin exaggerates his actions and cracks the eggs with one hand while doing strange poses, instantly getting a reaction from you.

“Jin, you’re so extra, oh my god,” you snort.

Flipping his imaginary hair behind his shoulder, Jin replies with a, “Thanks, I try my best” with a wink.

He continues prepping and stirring the mixture for a while and realizes that he hasn’t heard you spoken for about 10 minutes. Turning around, he sees that you were sprawled across the counter and had fallen asleep. Smiling endearingly at you, Jin shakes his head and stops his actions. He cleans his hands before going over to you and carrying you to your bedroom. He tucks you into bed and before leaving, leaves you a kiss on the forehead, and continues with making the brownies for you to eat when you wake up in the morning.

Somewhere near 3 am when the brownies are done, Jin hears rapid footsteps making its way to the kitchen. Realizing that you are awake, Jin smiles warmly and is about to greet you when you suddenly start screaming.

“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE? GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT, YOU STRANGER.”

Startled, Jin flickers his eyes between you and the brownies. “(Y/N)? You called me to make brownies remember?”

“Jin? What the hell are you talking about?” you finally opened your eyes and inquired him, confused.

Before Jin is able to respond, there’s knocking on your front door and a voice that follows, “Open up, this is the police. We got a report saying that there were two persons screaming and the neighbors are concerned. Release the hostages and if you do not oblige, we will be forced to break down this door.”

You and Jin both shared a look with each other before simultaneously whispering, “Oh shit.”
