22. Blue eyes & mixed feelings

[ Olivia | New Orleans, present day ]
[ THIRD POV ]

Olivia was laying down in a circle, surrounded by Klaus, Sophia, Sara, Hayley, Freya and Hope. She was too scared to close her eyes but when she felt the fire on the circle of stones licking their way on the ground to her she shut them. It was full moon. Sophia and Sara started chanting while the Mikaelsons were in the background, watching the scene.

A few minutes later the revilas on the ground felt a burning ache in her head and then the arms. After a while, she let out a scream as the aches were too strong and unbearable. But that was just the beginning. Sophia and Sara started to walk in the opposite direction to eachother around the circle and then back. And so it went on for the revilas. Their chantings were louder and Olivia felt a part of her magic drifting away. Little did she know that someone else's magic was drifting away too.

Olivia began to gasp as something was ripping her apart from the inside out. At least it felt like that. Klaus, Hayley, Freya and Hope watched this with tears in their eyes, clearly seeing that the former Queen was in pain. And they hated it. Olivia's fingertips were laying on the flames now and it didn't bother her. It seemed like she welcomed that new pain of the flames. And she did. She just did want to feel any other emotion than this torment.

The full moon reached it's highest point and the specific magic rushing in her veins was pulled out of her with force. Olivia shot up and opened her eyes wide open. Then she started to scream out all that pain that her body was holding. After minutes that felt like forever she stopped. Her eyes shifted not into the usual green tone, but in a new one. In a blue tone. Her eyes now blue, she watched her surroundings.

The palm of her hands were glowing in the same blue glow and she growled dangerously at the Mikaelsons. Klaus and Hayley stepped closer but the former Queen let out a loud growl at the parents. "This isn't her..." Klaus spoke, quietly. He was afraid that he might lose her and he was ready to step in if something bad or unnormal would start to happen.

Olivia's view went foggy and she let out a scream of pain, before she passed out and fell back on the floor. The flames started to consume her. Klaus continued to step forward but a blonde streak stopped him. Rebekah appeared infront of him and Hayley and stopped him to go any further.

"We need to go, Nik." She warned and Sara and Sophia's chantings began to get louder. "Take Hope and take her home. This is going to get dangerous." She said and he looked worried at Olivia. "Now, Niklaus!" They heard Elijah behind them. Klaus snapped out of his stare and then vamped Hope and himself back into the city.

Rebekah sped Freya and herself off to the compound. Elijah vanished too. Hayley stayed a few mere seconds and then also left with one last sad look on her face, hoping that they'd be alright.

Right after that, the fire shot up to the sky, lifting Olivia's body up with it and she once again opened her now crystal blue revilas eyes. She started to scream and that very scream was the one that followed the Mikaelsons back to the city. Hope shivered at the sound of it. She didn't like that, at all.

Sara and Sophia stopped their chantings and sat down by the circle of stones. Olivia's body went down on the ground softly and she closed her eyes again when she hit the ground. Exhausted, she laid her hand on her stomach and murmured a few words. Neither of the revilas understood them. Her fingertips glowed one more time in the usual green before she went unconscious again. This time she stayed that way for a longer time.

Sophia and Sara brought the former Queen back to the compound. Now she rested on her bed while everyone else was waiting for her to wake up. Hope went to bed and Hayley stayed with her, making sure she actually fell asleep and then sneak out to the courtyard. "Anything?" She asked, quietly. Freya shook her head. "No, nothing." She said and Hayley sat down next to her on the couch.
