Sakura: Another Story

Chapter 2

The ANBU agent checked Sakura into the hospital, telling the doctors and nurses that were currently on duty a brief story of what happened just 20 minutes earlier. The agent made each doctor and nurse swear to not let the event he just told them to get out of hand until he personally told the Hokage. With that, he handed Sakura over to a doctor and left straight for the Hokage office.

Rushing to the Hokage's office, the ANBU agents memories drifted off his own father. Even though the little girl's parents were murdered, and his own father committed suicide instead, he still knew what pain it was, to see your own parents or in his case, parent dead in front of you.

The agent made it to the Hokage office just under five minutes. Knocking on the door, knowing the Hokage was still he up, he patiently waited for his lord to reply.

 "Come in." A young, energetic voice called out. The agent opened the door and kneeled on the ground in front of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze.

"My lord." The ANBU agent said in a formal, quiet, polite voice.

"Kakashi. Take off your mask. I know who you are. And just call me Minato Sensei! That's how you know me anyway!" Lord Fourth said as he gave a chuckle. The ANBU agent, 18 year old Kakashi Hatake took off his mask and looked up at his former sensei, who became Hokage just 5 years ago.

"Now, Kakashi. What brings you here?" Minato asked. Kakashi looked up at him with sorrow in his eyes, and Minato's eyes faltered, his smile leaving his face.

"Around one hour ago, or reports have said, the civilian Haruno family was murdered. Only the parents were killed, but their five year old daughter, Sakura Haruno was left alive. The suspect has been shot down, and currently, the young girl is in the hospital, as she fainted from shock and trauma." Kakashi numbly explained. Minato stared at his former student. He knew Kakashi lost his own father at the same age as this girl had. he couldn't imagine how painful Kakashi was feeling, mourning his own father and feeling immense sorrow for the little girl.

"I see. Kakashi, you are relieved from you ANBU duties for 1 month. For now, take care of the young girl." Minato declared. Kakashi stared up at his sensei in shock.

"Minato sensei, how can I? Are you sure?" Kakashi asked incredulously. Minato simply sighed and looked at Kakashi in a gentle way. and spoke.

"Kakashi. You lost your father, The White Fang of Konoha, Sakumo Hatake at the very age this girl has. Caring for her may help you as well it will help her." 

Kakashi looked at his sensei with wonder in his eyes. He considered Minato his surrogate father and felt very close to him. He was also in shock that Minato understood what he was feeling.

"Oh. Well then. I accept." Kakashi blankly said. Minato gave a small smile.

"Okay, you're dismissed. now go to the hospital. Stay by the little girl's side. Sakura Haruno, wasn't it?" Minato asked.

"Yes, sensei. Have a nice night." Kakashi called out.

Jumping back to the hospital, he was met up by his longtime comrades and closest friends, Obito Uchiha and Rin Nohara. Kakashi looked at them. They already knew it was Kakashi, because of his white hair and red eye.

"What are you two doing here?" Kakashi asked

"We know what happened. Minato Sensei sent us to help you take care of her, Kakashi. We'll stay with you, Kakashi." Rin quietly said. Kakashi looked at Obito, who stared at the ground, the looked up at Kakashi with a smile and spoke.

"Yeah. We'll stay with you. Friends are supposed to do that." Obito said. Kakashi looked at both of them and gave a smile that he could only feel.

"Yeah. Let's go." With that, Team Minato rushed to the hospital.
