The Elven Wars
Hidden kind
By J.G Aldred
This Book is dedicated to my sister Lauren, who has been the main influence to inspire Rose. Happy Birthday.
Chapter 1 Prologue
Our story starts in the realm of Alfheimr in a small village named Cascada, where a young girl named Rose lives peacefully with other Elves in towering tree houses; not just houses in any ordinary tree but in trees so tall that they can rise above mountains!
Rose is a sixteen year-old girl with luscious red hair and long pointed ears. Elves are tall race of people around 6’3 from the realm of Alfheimr. Alfheimr is a haven for Elves, well for some Elves! Rose is a Forest Elf who lives in the wooded regions of Alfheimr. Night Elves also live in Alfheimr and are ungrateful of the land §they live on and burn the homes of the Forest Elves! Anyway, back to Rose.
"Rose!" whispered Miss Delta; Roses’ mother.
"Wake up! Summer has finally begun."
Rose awoke in her large leaf like hammock and grasped the soft silky red tunic on her bedside table, obviously left there recklessly the night before. Rose tiredly lifted her pale leg and firmly put it onto the ground; her cover fell to the ground lightly.
"Ugh" she thought. "I’m so tired."
Quickly, Rose changed into her tunic and some comfortable yet stylish trousers. Rose tiredly walked over to her balcony and gazed at the small village below her feet.
Suddenly, a small beautiful blond haired beautiful fairy fluttered up to the balcony and sat on Rose’s shoulder.
"Hey Rose." A quiet fairy said. Thanks to Rose’s elven ears, she could hear her voice clearly. "How are you, on the first day of summer?"
"Hey Razema, I’m fine and I just woke up." Replied Rose lazily.
"WHAT?" Razema asked. "This is the first day of summer and a forest elf slept in five hours more than she should, wow the shame." Razema looked furious, Elves, especially forest elves are known for their excitement for summer and all the seasons, so to see one sleeping in on such an important day is shameful.
"Hey, don’t be that stereotypical. I really don’t care for the seasons that much. Calm down Razema." Rose said defensively.
"Fine... I guess it’s your loss. Anyway...”
"Where's Jules?" Rose interrupted.
"He's in Svartalfaheimr with the Dwarves and Gnomes." Razema replied. "Wow. That must have been a long journey, even by Pegasus." Said Rose shocked. A Pegasus is a majestic creature that has white long wings that allow them to fly like an eagle. They had always fascinated Rose; they had the body of a Nobel white steed whilst also having wings as white and beautiful as an angel’s.
"Well, he’s seven-teen so now so he has to start working on the Dwarven machines. In my opinion it’s really sad, just playing with those machines inside a mountain, those caves must be freezing."
"Well, it is what Gnomes do, they’re small enough to go into the machines and smart enough to fix them. To Gnomes it’s fun."
"Guess so." Razema sighed. "He is always away. I miss the times when we would hang around at Cascada falls."
"Err, Razema I really don’t want to hear about your little crushes for Jules."
Suddenly, Rose and Razema heard the sound of marching.
"Who are they?" Razema asked. "I know they’re Elves, but they’re not forest Elves."
"We are the High Elves. Yes, we heard you." Said a male elf with pale skin and long blonde hair, he was staring at Razema with a spiteful grin.
