"Oh, hey. Umm, Leo, where did my monkeys go?"
"I kinda sent them on a mission to New York," then he added, "Hopefully you don't mind."
I laughed. "I don't."
We boarded the Argo II and let me tell you, it's amazing. Whoever made it is seriously insane.
"Nice ship," was all I could see, however. I was too awestruck.
It was huge. I mean, gigantic. I honestly don't understand how people don't see a giant ship flying over Italy. You could probably see it for miles.
As if reading my mind, Leo told me that the Mist hid the ship and all other godly activity from the mortal eye.
"So, how many people are actually on this ship? Seven, right? Because of the prophecy?" I ask.
"Actually, right now there's six people here. Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, me, and Coach Hedge. We... ah, left some people behind."
I decided to not push it.
The first person I met was Hazel.
"Oh. Umm, hey. I'm Hazel. Who are you?" She asked.
"Amber."
She started to ask a question, but Jason cut her off. "Could we just be everyone into mess Hall so we can explain some stuff?"
She quickly went off to get Piper and Coach Hedge. We started making our way to the center of the huge ship, and we came across a python.
"Why is there a python on the ship?" I asked.
"Its probably - I hope - just Frank." Leo poked the snake and it stirred and transformed into a human. Okay, this is weird.
In the Mess Hall, things weren't going very well. I sat in between Leo and Jason while I answered everyone's questions. I also learned some stuff about everyone. Coach Hedge is half goat, Jason can fly, Frank turns into animals, Hazel has a horse faster than the speed of sound, Leo is a crazy good mechanic, and Piper doesn't like me very much. I don't know why, though. What did I ever do to her?
She keeps glaring at me though.
I honestly only had one question, though. "Do you guys have a team leader or whatever?"
Everyone eyed each other warily.
"We might as well tell her if shes a part of the team," Hazel states.
Everyone nods.
Jason explained that Percy and Annabeth acted as leaders, but they both fell into hell. So basically our mission is to go and save them from hell and at the same time close to gates to hell so that monsters can't get out.
"Did you hear the prophecy?" Frank asks me.
"Yeah. Seven half-blood must answer the call, to storm or fire the world must fall. An oath to keep with a final breathe as foes bear arms to the doors of death. But alas there is an eighth, and in Italy is where they await."
"So we think we figured out some of the prophecy. Seven half-bloods: Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Frank, Leo, and me," Hazel states. "To storm or fire the world must fall: something with Jason or Leo. We don't know the next line, but we think that goes bear arms to the doors of death is Greeks and Romans. You're the eighth, and you were waiting in Italy for your dad. So it makes sense so far."
I nod. It does. Finally, for once in my life, I feel like I'm at home.
My home.
