In that day, Jimin and Yoongi enjoyed each other's company, while they explored the city of Seoul, holding hands. They went to Yoongi's favourite places in the city and Jimin couldn't help but get more captivated by the mint haired man. The way he talked, the way he moved, the way he thought, Jimin absorbed it all. For the first time in almost three years, Jimin felt happy, not content, but pure and fully happy.
After that day, Jimin's life fell into a routine. During the week, he would work at the cafe and Yoongi would come to lunch with him thrice a week. Furthermore, Yoongi would always drive him home at the end of the boy's shift. On the days Yoongi had clients that had their appointments later than 6 p.m., Jimin would wait for the man at his office, even if he found the place intimidating. It wasn't the scariest clinic, but Jimin still hated it.
On the weekends, Jimin and Yoongi always spent Saturdays together. They would either go out, or stay at home, just being together and getting to know one another.
In the meantime, they became closer and Jimin started to let his walls down for Yoongi. The mint haired man had already made a huge impact on Jimin's life and, even though the boy didn't want to admit, he was starting to be dependable of Yoongi. His presence would put a smile on Jimin's face immediately and push away his stresses.
Taehyung and Jin had noticed the small changes on the boy. He was more talkative and to their surprise, Jimin wasn't smoking so much lately. Even if they didn't know about Jimin's past, they knew that the boy was already starting to trust them. Actually, Jimin had started to care so much for his housemates that they already earned a spot in Jimin's small family alongside Suga. While Taehyung was extremely kind and caring towards the boy like a big brother, Jin acted as a father, something Jimin didn't have after his grandfather's death.
Considering Hoseok, Jimin also fell for his charms. The man was a walking sunshine and he always brought energy to Jimin with his genuine smile and positive attitude. The vet was a bit eccentric like Jin and they were a funny duo. Moreover, Hoseok shared the same passion for dancing as Jimin and they promised to dance together one day.
The only person Jimin was still not comfortable was Namjoon. The psychiatrist apologised for pressuring Jimin to talk at the dinner and they haven't talked much after that. Namjoon still come to the cafe, but him and Jimin were still awkward around each other. Furthermore, Jimin noticed there was a tension going on between Namjoon and Jin. However, the boy didn't think he should intrude.
The six of them decided to hang out more and they organized more dinner meet ups in their apartment. Surprisingly, they went way better than the first time and Jimin started to look forward for the next dinner.
Rose and Woozi started to come by Jimin's work and the twins became close friends with boy, even though they were two years older than him. Rose was very chatty and teased her brothers a lot, which Jimin found extremely endearing and funny, while Woozi was more contained and shyer. They also would sometimes join them at their gatherings, which led Woozi to expose Jimin on his talent for dancing.
The youngest Min brother had a lot of videos of Jimin dancing, because his old dance academy had a YouTube channel and they used to put a lot of Jimin's choreographies. After all, Jimin was their top student. Everyone was mesmerized by Jimin's talent, but they didn't ask why he didn't pursue it. By now, they all knew how difficult it was to make Jimin talk about his past.
As time passed, they were now on the beginning of December, Jin's birthday had been on the other day. They were a week away of Jungkook's arrival. Taehyung was more than excited, and he was always jumping around, doing happy dances everywhere.
However, he wasn't the only one excited. Jimin couldn't wait to see his best friend again and to hug him. They have known each other almost since birth and they have never been this apart. It felt weird for Jimin, even if they talked every day, it wasn't the same. His best friend had always been there for him and Jimin viewed him as a little brother.
On that Saturday, Jimin and Yoongi were on the elder's apartment, laying on the sofa and watching some Kdrama that those two had started watching together.
Jimin was resting his head on Yoongi's hair, while the latter played with his hair. They had become a lot touchier with each other and Jimin didn't mind it one bit, on the contrary.
"Are you excited, Jiminie?" Yoongi asked, as the episode ended.
"For what, hyung?" Jimin moved his head so he could look at Yoongi.
"Jungkook comes next week." The blonde boy flashed his eye smile at Yoongi.
"I am more than excited, I am enthusiastic. Oh, I miss him, hyung. He is like a little brother to me. He was the only person that I had a hard time to let go. You know? To leave him back in Busan." Jimin's smile falter a bit and Yoongi caressed his cheek tenderly.
"Soon, he will be here, and you can make up for the lost time."
They stayed in silent for some time. "Hyung, I have a question."
By now, Yoongi and Jimin had established an agreement. When Jimin felt he could open up to Yoongi, he would ask him if he could ask a question. So, they traded: a question for a question.
"Go ahead." Jimin sat up, his eyes on the same level as Yoongi's.
"I have noticed something, but I am afraid of asking." The boy bit his lower lip nervously and Yoongi ruffled his hair, trying to soothe him and tell him to continue. "Jin hyung and Namjoon hyung... They seem tense around each other..."
Yoongi nodded. "They used to date back in college." Jimin mouth formed a "o" in surprise. "Even though they are friends now, sometimes they get awkward. I know Namjoon still likes Jin, but Jin doesn't anymore."
"I feel bad for Namjoon now... But I won't mention it to Jin." Jimin lowered his face, feeling somehow Namjoon's pain.
"You can come to me for any questions if you feel you can't ask Jin or Taehyung." Jimin throw his arms around Yoongi's neck, making Yoongi cooed at how cute the younger was.
"Thank you, hyung. You are the best. Now ask what you want." Jimin prepared himself for the question.
Yoongi thought a little bit, because he didn't want to be intrusive. "Jiminie, your parents-"
"They don't care about me, hyung." Jimin interrupted, knowing perfectly well what he was going to ask. "They never did. If you must know, they are one of the reasons I left Busan." Jimin's voice was emotionless, but inside he was feeling his heart break slightly.
Yoongi brought the boy to his arms, seeing how sad his eyes were. "I am sorry."
"There's nothing to apologize. It's a normal question, hyung. You have the right to be curious."
"Ask me another thing, Jiminie."
"Do you get along with your parents?" Yoongi hardly talked about his parents and the same goes for his brothers.
"At times. My father is a bit harsh and cold, but he just has hard time showing his emotions. It runs in the family." Jimin giggled. "My mother, well, she's a sweetheart and she is always the peacemaker and the bridge between us and our father. As the older, that responsibility also fell into my shoulders. However, while I was a teenager I had a lot of arguments with him, because of what I wanted in the future."
The boy looked over at Yoongi, imagining his parents and a younger mint haired man having his rebellious antics. "They sound lovely."
"You will meet them one day. I think Rose and Woozi have talked to them about you." Yoongi smirked at the blushing mess Jimin. Two can play this game, hyung. The boy thought.
"Your brothers or you, hyung?" Jimin smiled victoriously at how red his ear's tips were, making Jimin's shot his head back, laughing. Deciding he had teased his hyung enough, Jimin smiled softly at him. "But, what it's your question, hyung?"
"Will you ever trust me?" Yoongi didn't look into Jimin's eyes as he was scared of his answer.
Jimin gulped, taking in the weight of Yoongi's question. He knew exactly what the man meant. Surprising both of them, Jimin lifted his hand and caressed the older's cheek. "One day, hyung."
