Old friend

I decided to fly back to Minneapolis to visit an old friend. I haven't seen him in about 7 years of course prince God it seems like forever. I was walking towards his dressing room when I heard a conversation

"Look mayte I want a divorce no matter what you can't change my mind"

I sighed maybe this is a bad time I thought to myself. All of a sudden I heard the door open. Shit I thought to myself.

"Jessica? What are you doing here?"

"I- I wanted to come see you. But obviously it's the wrong time...so ill....just....go" I started to walk away but he grabbed my arm. And pulled me in then kissed me

"I missed you" prince said

I started to stutter. But he stopped me with a kiss again. "Made you speechless hu?"

"My sister died" I said quickly

"What?"

"Jo she committed suicide"

"Oh god" he said while sitting down on the couch. I sat next to him

"I didn't even know she was depressed"

"Some people don't like talking about that stuff because they feel embarrassed or to silly to talk about stuff like that"

"Since when did you become a therapist?"

"Since we lost Ahmir"

"Oh I'm so sorry about that by the way"

"It's fine. God's plan I guess"

"I guess so"

"Maybe I wasn't even ment to be a father" he said sadly

"Oh prince don't say that! Of course you are ment to be a father. I've seen you around children, you are so good with them.  Trust me"

"Really?"

"Yes really! Do you remember when you watched my niece because I couldn't?"

"Yes"

"I walked into the playroom when I was going to pick her up to go home. You acted like she was your daughter. It was incredible. So don't ever say anything like that!"

He looked up and smiled at me "thank you. I needed that"

"Of course anything for a good friend"

"How bout we have dinner after my rehearsal to catch up on things. How does that sound?" He asked

"That sounds great"

"Meet you in here?" He asked

"Yep"

He got up and walked out of the dressing room to do his thing.
