Warning: Sirius gets crucioed and hit by his father in this oneshot. Also death threats.

Sirius was nervous to say the least. He was sorted into Gryffindor yesterday and he was awaiting the undoubted howler that was coming his way. If he was lucky.

Suddenly there was a bang as the doors of the Great Hall flew open. Sirius looked over quickly only to have his fears confirmed. There stood his father Orion Black and he looked furious.

Orion stormed over to him with his wand drawn. "Crucio." He said calmly, aiming his wand at his eleven year old son. Sirius Black's screams echoed around the hall.

Orion stopped the curse and gruffly said, "Get up."

Sirius scrambled to his feet with his head down.

"You filthy little blood-traitor. I have half a mind to kill you right now." Orion threatened.

Sirius whimpered, he knew his father wasn't joking.

"If you do anything, anything, else to dishonour the Black name, I will not hesitate. Understood?"

Sirius stayed silent but nodded slightly. Orion drew his arm back and slapped him across the face. "Am I understood ?"

"Y-yes, sir." Sirius' voice shook, "I understand."

"Good." Orion nodded to the head table before swiftly walking away.

Sirius shakily sat down and put his head on the table, arms covering his face. Everyone stared at him in shock. The bell for their first class rang, Sirius stood up and picked up his bag, wincing slightly and walked off to class.

The rest of the school followed soon after. The teachers looked at him in shock. No one could just walk away from being crucioed (sp?) their first time. This eleven year old had to have been crucioed before. The thought made them sad and Professor McGonagall silently vowed that she would never notify his parents of bad behaviour, if only to save his life.

Boy, did she regret that vow.
