The Order Meeting

There was an order meeing today and this time the members were meeting their two newest members, Neville Longbotrom and Harry Potter. Both were only a month old and both families were in hiding.

The Potters arrived first with crying Harry in his carrier. James put it on the ground and took him out, "Stop crying. Please stop crying." He whispered to him as he bounced him gently on his shoulder.

"We've been over this, James. Harry doesn't understand what you're saying." Lily laughed.

James looked at her. "Would you like to hold the crying baby."

"It's your turn. I did it last time, and the time before that."

James grunted and sat down at the table, Harry still crying in his arms.

The Longbottoms arrived next with a sleeping Neville. Lily took Harry from James and calmed him down so he didn't wake Neville. Harry looked into his mother's eyes and gurgled happily.
James just stared in awe as he saw how easily Lily calmed the baby down. Sirius just patted him on the back as he laughed.

Soon both babies were asleep and the meeting commenced. At some point during the meeting, Neville started crying which woke Harry up and they were both crying. Lily patted James on the back and said, "It's still your turn."

James rolled his eyes and picked both babies up and put them in Sirius and Remus' arms. "Don't drop them." He said seriously. He then proceeded to take out his wand and produce puffs of colours from the end making the babies giggle.

Harry reached out with his hand and nearly fell off his godfather's lap. "Careful!" James cried, "I want to take my son home in one piece!"

Neville meanwhile was fascinated by Remus and was staring at him in awe. Frank laughed as he saw this and told Remus he was welcome to come over whenever he wanted.

When the order meeting was finally over, the Potters and Longbottoms agreed to visit again soon and hopefully their sons would become great friends.
