Tord was the prince of his land. His father was growing old and he needed his son to rule the kingdom with someone by his side. The king decided to gather some princesses and they would each get to go on a royal dinner date. Tord knew it was going to be a long month or even a year.

I was pacing around the room. What if I didn't choose somebody? This kingdom needed a ruler and my dad will pass away at anytime. My thinking was interrupted by knock on my bedroom door. I walked over and put my hand on the handle. My thoughts started to bundle in my head again.

What if it was my father and he said I had to pick one? Should I really open it? What if it's a t- Without thinking I opened the door and saw one my servants Tom. I sighed in relief and held my hand out inviting him in.

"Come in!" Tom nodded. He looked at his shoes and stepped into my room. "Prince Tord, your father requested my that I accompany you while you are trying choose who you would like to be with until death do you part." I placed a hand on his shoulder, "You don't have to be formal when you're alone with me."

Tom smiled. With that one movement, Tord felt happiness jolt up his spine. When Tord talked about his problems Tom listened and gave advice to the soon to be king. It felt like they talked for 4 days when really it had been 2 hours. They felt comfortable around each other. They both felt they were finally themselves.

Another person knocked on the door. Tord told Tom to stay sitting on his bed. Tord opened the door to she a maiden with a beautiful blue dress.

"Ah, you must be Princess Karen! What a lovely dress that is!" The princess blushed and looked over to the side glaring at Tom. "Why thank you! Such a gentle man!" Tord was scratching his neck. Tom felt his heart twist and anger filled his body. "Prince Tord," Tom exclaimed "I will be taking my leave now. I hope you the best regards." Tom squeezed by the royals. Karen rolled her eyes as he walked past. "Thomas, wait!" Tom waved his hand with tears pouring down his rosy cheeks. "It great while it lasted."

A fake smile was plastered on his face showing his voids sparkling. "Far well." Tom walked until nobody was around. He ran to his room, is tears trailing behind him. The anger he felt earlier was conquered by sadness. When he reached his small room, he shut his door quietly. He laid on his messy bed and thought what he would do if they got married. They would have a baby and Tom would be forgotten.

Tom couldn't stop crying until his door had been knocked on. He wiped off of his tears and put a fake smile on and opened his door. Tord was at the door, rubbing on his arm. "Tom, were you ok? Why were you crying earlier?" Tom looked down embarrassed, embarrassed to admit that he loved Tord in the span of 2 hours.

"Look, I-I was jealous. You looked like you loved her. I wanted to be alone. Tord, to be honest, I-I love y-you!" Tord was shocked and was blushing like crazy. "Tom, I love you too." Tord pulled Tom into a gentle kiss. Tom kissed back after being in shocked five seconds. "Tom lets run away together, my dad would never accept this."

Tom nodded. "Tomorrow, we will make our great escape!" Tord hugged Tom. "Go get your clothes and we will leave at sunset." Tom nodded again.
