Chapter 3

Nina's POV

It was Thursday. Mike, Lucy, Mark, Parker, Andrew and I were sitting outside eating lunch. It was sunny day, so why waste it with being inside. Besides, not a lot of students have lunch outside, so it has it's perks. While we all were eating, Parker was telling one of his dreams "And so, I fell into fountain and heard the car driving away" We all laughed, well besides Mike. Still don't know what happened with them four years ago "Okay my turn" I said straightening up "I was at this weird-" "Hope I'm not interfering" We heard someone's voice. Liz Woodson, most popular girl in this school. She's really sweet, but at time she can be a total bitch. She has light brown hair and blue eyes. Also great body and she's really intelligent. No wonder a lot of guys want her, but she actually never had a boyfriend, well after middle school, but that doesn't really count "Actually you are, but that's okay" Said Andrew. Him and Liz never really liked each other since day one. Just like with Parker and Mike, no one knows why. Real mystery, I know. She faked smiled at him and continued "Anyways, tomorrow me and couple of other guys are going to have first party of the school year. So it's going to be big. I hope to see you guys there. Bye now!" She told us and went to her group of friends "Bye now!" Andrew mimicked her with high pitched voice "What's your problem with her, she seemed kinda cute" Lucy asked him as she took a bite from her baby carrot "It's just the way she is. She annoys me! I can't explain" Andrew started bubbling and gesturing things with his hands "So there is not any particular reason?" Mark asked him "No." "Okay, we understand. You like her, don't you?" Lucy asked leaning to him "Yeah- Wait! NO! I hate her, not like her!" He raised his voice a bit "Okay, okay, calm down, we understand. You don't like her" I told him "Thank you, Nina! One normal perso-" "You find her appealing" Added Parker while wiggling his eyebrows "Oh, come on!" Andrew whined as we all laughed

Time Skip~Friday Afternoon

I was at my room getting ready for the party. We decided to go to Lucy's place first and from there to the party. I finished putting on the makeup and checked myself in the full length mirror. I wore simple long red dress with small cream colored flowers and black mary-janes. I had light makeup and my hair was naturally wavy and down. I took one hairband, just in case. I went to my desk and checked my phone. I had few messages and one missed call from Mark. I called him back "Hey, what's up?" I asked him as I went back to the mirror "I'm waiting for you downstairs and tell Parker to come down as well" "Okay, we'll be down in a seconde" I ended the call and went out of my room "I'm leaving!" I yelled as I closed the door. I went to Parker's door and knocked on it. He answered after few seconds. He was dressed casual, white t-shirt, black jeans and white adidas. "Hey, ready to go?" I asked him "Yeah, I'll grab my phone and we can head out" He told me "Okay, I will wait for you downstairs with Mark!" I told him already walking down the stairs. "Hey!" I called out Mark who was scrolling through his phone. I went up to him and kissed him on both cheeks. "Hey! You look amazing" He said secretly eyeing me up and down "Thanks! But it's nothing special. Just dressing casual for the party" I told him looking down on my dress "If you call that casual, I'd like to see you dress fancy" He told me as if didn't say anything special "Hey! Sorry I made you wait" I heard Parker's voice and turned around. He now also had black jacket around his waist "Why did you grab a jacket? It's like 30 degrees outside!" I asked him "Aah, I think it's more like 85, Nina." Mark said while scratching the back of his neck "After 8 years of living in this country, she still talks in celsius, kg's, meter's and etc." Parker told him as he ruffled my hair "It's easier. And by the way, only you Americans use Fahrenheit!" I defended myself. Parker chuckled "But, you are American as well" Mark said while smiling. This time Parker laughed "I'm Georgian, but okay, whatever. Let's get going Mike and Andrew are already waiting" I checked my phone for time 20:06 "Okay, let's go!" Said Parker as he threw arm over my shoulder making me smile shyly
