NEW GAME CHARACTER

Chenle's POV

I came back from school just now and we had no homework.

I was also glad that there is a new character in the game. Yes, I am playing the game Mark-hyung suggested.

Often times, Mark-hyung did not really recommend good games but this one had everyone playing it and it is going viral.

I opened the game as it was done updating. It did add a new character named Doyoung.

Well, this guy had special abilities. His hand combat is high, even his weaponry skills.

Getting a new character was a bit pricy but it was easy to earn in this game.

I played for a few hours and then I finally bought the new character.

I wanted to play for an hour more but not tonight. We are gonna watch movies since Jaemin-hyung was gonna try out this new recipe that he said would go well while watching movies.

When I got out of my bed, Mark-hyung and Jeno-hyung have arrived. Mark-hyung seems tired and I don't want him to get too stressed. I'm not really good at giving advice but I provide good distraction from what their thinking.

"Mark-hyung! Have you checked out the game?" I asked cheerfully, trying to make him comfortable, he seems to be nervous, but why?

"Oh, I haven't. What is the update for?" he asked while checking his phone.

"It has a new character. I immediately bought it too since it looked like a good one."

Mark-hyung updated his game and played as well before we started our marathon. It is Friday today and we don't have classes tomorrow.

As it was almost 8pm, we gathered in our room and plugged the USB to the TV. We are gonna watch action movies tonight, as Jisung requested.

"Jaemin-hyung, what are you making?" Jisung asked.

"Oh, I found this on the internet, its bread popcorn." Jaemin-hyung answered.

Everyone changed into their pajamas and settled in the couch in our room. Yes, all of us are roommates. We sleep in bunk beds, obviously.

Haechan-hyung played the movie and we were all immersed in watching it. I still look over to Mark-hyung but it seems that he had already calmed down.

The movie was on a part wherein the main character runs because of a man that was observing him. It was a really thrilling scene but...

"ANDWAE!" Mark-hyung shouted and buried his face in a pillow. He starts breathing heavily, he was shaking again. We're all worried. Mark-hyung can be more scared at times but this was different.

Haechan-hyung paused the movie and ran over to Mark-hyung. Haechan-hyung rubbed Mark-hyung's back, making him calm down.

Mark-hyung was able to look up to Haechan-hyung. He had tears in his eyes, he was really finding it hard to breathe. Haechan-hyung pulled Mark-hyung up and went to Haechan-hyung's bed which was a top bunk.

"You guys continue, I'll take care of him." Haechan-hyung said with assurance, hugging Mark-hyung's waist.

Jaemin-hyung played the movie but we can't take our mind off of Mark-hyung. We were all worried.

Haechan's POV

I was home for most part of the day. I only had a few hours of classes, after I went home immediately.

I ate lunch and took a nap, then played games. Typical lazy person doings. I wasn't in the mood to be doing homework, besides it's Friday.

We are gonna be watching action movies later tonight, that's why I got up. I went to the kitchen to help out Jaemin on whatever he's cooking.

Right then, Mark-hyung and Jeno arrived. Both of them looked tired but Mark seemed anxious. I'm really worried about Mark. I know he gets anxious most of the time, no one else knows of it. But now, he's kind of obvious.

Chenle also got out of his room, and when his gaze dropped to Mark, his forehead formed a knot. He noticed it too. He tried to distract his thoughts which I'm thankful for. Mark needs something to ease his mind. I bet he's stressed o finding a stable job.

When we were watching the movie, Mark sort of calmed down. But this scene came up.

The main character was being chased by a man, I looked at Mark and he was getting more nervous until he screamed.

"ANDAE!" And with that, I knew I had to pause the movie and get him away from the television. Something happened and I need to calm him down.

I told the others to continue and that I'll handle this. I took Mark to my bed and we sat there. I let him calm down and try breathing normally. I looked at his eyes, giving him some reassurance that it will be alright.

Mark is the closest to me among the seven of us. He may be my complete opposite but we still agree on some things.

"Mark-hyung, can you tell me what happened?" I asked, in the most calming voice I could muster.

"This tall guy, h-he w-was on the s-same train as I am." Mark began but when he heard that he was stuttering he took a deep breath and continued.

"He was staring at me, his eyes were really dark almost as if he barely had sleep. I also think he had eyeliner on his waterline to make it darker. He followed me out the train station and chased me. He was a little over six feet that's why I had a hard time walking fast, so I ran. Good thing I lost him on the shortcut to the shop." He told me.

"Is that why you are nervous this whole time?" I asked and he nodded. I hugged Mark-hyung and pat his hair. He must've been so scared. He never gets scared, I've only seen him scared like this now.

I went down the bunk bed to get his guitar. Mark likes playing the guitar to calm himself. So, I grabbed it and went back to give it to him.

"Go on, play it." I said and he did, filling the room with the acoustic notes of the instrument.

Mark-hyung fell asleep beside me, resting his head on my shoulder. He looks at peace. I wish he really was.

Sorry for not being able to update as often. Midterms week just finished and THE STRESS.

Anyways, I think I'll double update since the next chapter is a background story which I've already cooked up.
