Accidentally In Love

Chapter 2

I am going to kill them. Strangle their necks until their eyes lose their shine. 

Today had been so hectic in the office. The biggest manufacturers in Germany wanted to sign a deal with me and my presentation had to be immaculate. Not that they weren't anyway.  After the presentation was finished and a lot of persuasion later, I finally got them to seal the deal. And that meant a celebration was due.  

Samantha Grey, my girlfriend of 2 years, stood by my red Enzo Ferrari. Wearing a Gucci dress and heels, she looked around trying to spot me in the crowd. As soon as she did, I saw her smile and walk up to me.  Her lips came in contact with mine and she kissed me hungrily. 

We pulled apart a few minutes later.

"How's work?" She asked

"Good, the usual. Finally cracked the deal with Germany" I boasted. 

"Wow that's great Adrian!" 

I nodded and was about to step into my car when my phone rang. I looked at the caller and mentally rolled my eyes. God this man has the worst timing to ever ring.

"What!" I spat.

"Well good morning to you to man. I'm doing great, thanks for asking."  The idiot on the other line stated. 

"What do you want I'm busy". I yelled. 

"A little bird told me you bagged that deal you've been running after for a while this morning. How about you, me and Zac get together to celebrate? Boys night out, what do you say?". 

Alexander Maxwell. The man behind my migraines. Alex was the trouble maker of our gang. Known for his killer looks and charm, he could get any girl he wanted. Famous for his Casanova ways all around town. The complete opposite to his elder brother. Zac on the other hand was a hardworking and humble man. Even with the millions in his bank he still resided in a house instead of a mansion, and got married to his high school sweetheart a few months back. Us three met in college and clicked instantly. 

"No thanks Alex I'm kind of busy at the moment. Perhaps tomorrow"  I stated as I sat in the car.

"Man come on! We haven't seen in other in ages. Let's spend some time together". he whined.

"Alex, we saw each other last night when you decided to throw a party for no apparent reason and then got so drunk you passed out even before the party started. Then at 5 in the morning I had to drag your drunk ass home because you nearly died hanging out my window thinking you were Tarzan." I told him in a bored tone.

Silence.

"God just get  your ass to Zac's right now or else!" he threatened and the line went dead.

I massaged my head and took a few deep breaths. Alex's threats were not to be taken lightly. I knew that. I shuddered as I remember what had happened a few months back. 

I got out of the car and went to Courtney.

"Babe, somethings come up so I gotta run. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" I told her as I gave her a kiss of the forehead.

"Hey it's no problem I get it. You go and enjoy."  She have me a peck on the lips and went to her car. 

That's what I liked about Samantha. She was never clingy. She understood completely and never asked any questions. Unlike my past...girlfriends. 

I got into my car and drove.

It was getting dark and the wind was picking up speed.  I was driving and Alex and Zac, as usual, were bickering about what song should be on next.

"ADRIAN! TELL ZAC! IT'S MY TURN NOW!" Alex whined. God he's such a child sometimes. No scratch that all the time. Alex doesn't have one mature bone in his body.

"Alex you've had it for an hour now, just turn it off your song choices are giving me a headache anyway." I said. 

Smack.

"How dare you! I'll let you know, these are the songs that get all the girls in bed" he smirked.

"Yeah by putting them to sleep" Zac stated.

I snorted. 

Next thing I knew, I was trying to stop Alex from committing crime by strangling his one and only brother from the back seat.  And that's when I didn't see a girl run in front of my car before I had time to break.

And that is also why I am going to kill them.
