Violet's POV

Life...
More fragile than glass,
The bonds we create, become stronger than the earth we tread upon. But a simple mistake and they too, become delicate. The friends and family you hold so close, can leave you before you even realise, the reasons behind it all.

"Father, why..." I questioned, hoping for an answer. The way he looked at me sent shivers down my spine. Resentment, disgust, pain, sorrow and those cold, disheartening eyes.

He never spoke a word but with a single look, my whole world was changed. It didn't take me too long to realise what was going on and why.

"Did you see what she just did to his son?"
"Poor boy, this is going to ruin the Akamine's"
"How dare she, she's an Akamine isn't she?"
"Wasn't that a foreigner's son?"
"The perfect daughter they all said"

The society I had been living in, begun to judge me. Whispers and rumors spread throughout the room, right in front of me. I could only imagine the vulgar language that was being spoken, and how this would only continue to escalate.

This feeling, I know it from somewhere, as it feels all too familiar. Ahhh, right...it reminds me of school and how my last name entitles me to special privileges, that aren't given to commoners. The way rumors spread out of jealousy, anger and in my opinion. Being genuinely afraid of facing me themselves.

No one has even tried to talk to me throughout all of my years in school. They've put me on an imaginary pedestal and avoid me. When others wish to speak to me, the teachers inform them of my social status and...

"Woah!?!"

I begun to lose my footing as it felt like everything around me was shaking. I looked around the room and everyone was still whispering, nothing fell off of the tables and no one was panicking.

"Father?!?" I yelled out to him and everything stopped shaking.

"What's happening father?"

"......."

He never spoke a word and it just tore my heart. Everything shook again and no one else seemed to care. It was as if...I was the only one shaking. The shaking grew worse and worse. I started yelling out to the people surrounding me, trying to get someone's attention. Even though it hurt me to do so, there was eventually only one person left I could yell out to...

"DAD!!!!..."

"Mi- amine...Miss kamine...Miss Akamine. Get up please"

I heard a young lady whispering. It sounded a bit hazy at first, but I eventually heard it properly and the voice was quite familiar. It's the voice of reality, with a side of stuff all ahead of me.

"Yes, yes. I'm up, I'm up..."

I sighed as I sat up and rubbed my eyes. The reason I say 'stuff all ahead of me' is because...

"The time is currently 6:32am Miss Akamine. You took 2 minutes too long to get out of bed. This will result in a 2 minute set back for your daily schedul-"

*The young lady was then rudely interrupted by muwah*

"I know Suiren, I know. Remove 2 minutes from my 12:30pm break and...
that should even things out"

I was so tired, I begun yawning half-way through that sentence. With my head in the clouds and an angry Suiren, I decided to stand up. Only to get pushed back on to the bed by Suiren.

"Sorry Miss Akamine but please, allow me to wipe your face"

"Um, no thank you Suiren. I don't see a reason for you to wipe my face"

"Miss Akamine, do you not realise...what you were doing?"

"What I was doing? What do you mean Suiren?"

"Miss Akamine, you were crying in your sleep?"
