I would love to first and foremost dedicate this one-shot to the one and only @stanjennie I want to thank you so much for being here throughout this tough journey with me, I cannot count how many times how much I texted and bothered the heck out of you -- asking questions, opinions, concerns, etc! Omg, I felt like I drove you crazy, I am so sorry! Seriously, I would not have finished this one-shot at all if it wasn't for your constant support and love. You mean the absolute world to me, and I am so honored to write a fanfic off of yours. You know how much I loveeee Victor, and it is easily one my fav Nctpink fanfics of all time. It is still mindblowing to me that you created Victor on my birthday, and I am just too grateful. That is to say, not only is this one-shot for you, but a little early birthday present from me to you. This entire plot was inspired by you and from Victor, so I want you to know this story is written from the bottom of my heart and that I hope you enjoy it <3
Now on to the extremely important part -- if you have not read Victor by @stanjennie do not read this story. You don't need to read the whole entire thing (but it'll be nice if you do, support my mom 101) just up until chapter 11 is fine.
I have so many things to explain, so please bear with me a little longer because I know there are tons of confusion, and I want to make it clear -- this is a fanfic on ANOTHER fanfic. I'm gonna insert a scenario, so you can understand what I'm trying to say---
Imagine Victor as its own book, Suzanne Collins never created the Hunger Games, but rather stanjennie-- I am creating a fanfic based on her "book." This is really critical because, WHATEVER YOU READ IN THIS CHAPTER, IT DOES NOT HAPPEN OR BECOME CANON IN VICTOR. HOWEVER, the relationships between the characters are still the same and each character's personalities -- so like yusoo hating each other, jaerose lowkey liking each other, listen still a couple -- everything from their quality traits to relationship with each tribute remain unchanged. This one-shot would take place somewhere after chapter 11 (the training session, aka where the dialogue between yusoo happens). This is like my own spin-off of yusoo, but it does not actually happen in the "real book, Victor itself." Does that make sense? I'll explain more at the very end because it'll easier since you guys finished reading, therefore I can provide examples as to what elements I used happened in Victor, vs the changes I made.
I honestly did not mean for the one-shot to be this complicated, and I am sorry for that. I began writing this in April, and as I continued to write, there were more updates in Victor, thus more plot-twisting details that I obviously didn't expect, so it kind of affected my story making it more confusing to understand. Like I said, I WILL put a list at the author's note on at the end of the story to tell you guys things that happened in Victor, and what didn't.
