Boom boom. My heart explodes from my chest, and my lunges turn to concrete. Dark fog rolls around my bare feet which tread cautiously forward, numb from snowy ground beneath. Boom boom. Wind howls through the trees which loom above me, the shadows of their empty branches stretching towards the sky like arms reaching desperately towards the heavens for an escape. Boom boom. Shadows dart across my vision, causing my head to jolt violently to the left but I see nothing. Boom boom. My pace quickens when a twig snaps loudly several feet behind me. Boom boom. I begin to run. Boom boom. Boom boom. Suddenly the ground slips away from me and I'm falling down, down furthur and further. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. And then. boom boom. all at once. Boom boom. There is nothing.
