My mom was in critical condition.
I spent the next two weeks worrying, hoping, and crying.
Worst two weeks of my life.
Even though I was focused on my mom, I couldn't stop thinking about the battle.
About Chein.
Gabby was okay, she is staying at Brinkley's for a while until Luka wakes up, but me?
I was a mess.
My dad was usually at the hospital, but when he was home, he was talking to me and we would mourn together.
Why my mom? She was a superhero, she saved the world! She didn't deserve this!
Gabby P.O.V.
"Brinkley I'm okay! I promise" I tried to explain to her.
"It's Emma you should worry about! Her mom is in the hospital!"
"And so is your dad!"
"Okay okay fine, I guess we could all use a day off." I admitted.
"How about our favorite place?"
"The mall!" We both said at the same time.

"Emma cmon! You can never resist a trip to the mall." Brinkley said as she was trying to coax her out of her room.
"Guys please go away, I wanted to be alone." She answered.
"Not an option." I answered.
"Fine."
Emma walked out of her room and I wiped away a tear on her face.
After she was ready, we started walking to the mall.

"Please let me buy these for you guys." Emma insisted as she held up 3 bracelets. One mint green, one pink, one blue.
"They're perfect! We have to get them." She said.
"They are so cute! But I'm going to pay you back." I insisted.
"Fine fine whatever."
