Chapter 2- true feelings

"So Kails wanna hang out?" Anth said sounding.. Nervous? That's new. "We'll yeah don't we always hang out after school?" I say confused "yeah I was um just making sure?" He said unconvincingly but I let it slide. " I'll meet you at your house Anth bye" I said getting off the bus.

~~~at Anths house~~~

"Anth?" I call into his house inviting myself in. "Hey Kail what's up". "Same old same old, anyway what's wrong Anth you have been acting weird ever since we got on the bus.?" "Nothing I'm fine.."

"Yeah that's believable, just tell me Anthony"

"I- u-um it's kinda hard to say"

"Anthony"

"Okay okay."

He grabbed my hands and looked me dead in the eyes.

"Kaileigh I like you, a lot."

We'll shit. I wasn't expecting that.

"U-um I mean. I like you too. As a friend. I don't think it would work. I don't wanna ruin our friendship..."

Let me just say the look on his face would make anybody feel guilty. I couldn't even look at him anymore.

"Why Kaileigh. What's wrong with me. Am I not good enough?"

"No no no! That's not it! Anthony your the best thing that ever happened to me. But I don't wanna loose you. I can't afford to loose you, and that could happen if we ever broke up.."

"But it won't happen, not if I have anything to do with it"     I couldnt take it anymore, I left.

When I got home Gracelyn was taking a nap nad her babysitter natalie was just about to leave. i ran down the stairs as fast as i could. "NATALIE!!" i shouted. " Whatt!!!!" she screamed back. "Dont leave!"   " I wont, now what do you need?"  "advise..."  " Well obviously, you came to the advise columnist.."  " okay well you know my best friend anth.. well today he told me he likes me... more than a friend and he kept trying to convince me and i couldnt stand to see the hurt in his eyes and i just left.. i feel like that was the worst thing i could do." i gushed really fast  " well that was the worst thing you could have done. you cant run away from your problems."  And that was what i didnt wanna hear. i knew i should have talked to anth.  " But i think you fail to realize you own feelings towards him..." she continues. " What do you mean?"  "oh your so blind! You cant even tell that you like your bestfriend!"  Could Natalie be right? Do i like Anthony? " i guess its a possibility. i just never really thought about it i guess. But i do like someone..."  " Oh tell me! Tell me!"  " Carson Manning... i have liked him since elementary school. one problem tho, he is Anthonys best friend."  "Well, you 'should go with your heart, but if you get hurt i the end Anthony will always be there for you."  "Thanks Natalie"  "Anytime, ill see ya"  

 *Anthonys P.O.V*

"What did  I do wrong!?" i shouted to Carson " Maybe its not something you did wrong... maybe its exactly what you said she said, she dosent wanna ruin your friendship. You knwo shes a fragile girl. she needs you."   " Yeah but i just want so much more..."
