Breathe, Belle, Breathe.

"I've really liked her for a while now Belle. Eliza is super hot plus she is captain of the cheerleading squad! She obviously has something for me, I'm going to ask her to homecoming!".

Coles stormy grey eyes searched my face missing the look of jealousy that flashed across my face whenever he said 'her' name.

I surreptitiously hid the white rose meant for him behind my back.

"Uhhh, Cole just because I'm ALSO captain of the squad, does not mean I know which new guy she happens to have in her bed every second day, and anyways It's girls choice, remember? she has to ask you" I said ignoring how his perfect, square jawline clenched at my words.

"Yeah, yeah I know she a hoe, girls choice, I got it, BUT, since I love you so much and you love me, even more your going to find out for me, right best friend?" Cole said giving me 'the smile'.

The smile that first made me fall in love with him in seventh grade, the smile that got him the last piece of fairy bread as a child, the smile that could make someone like me (who thought anything without a punani was only good for one thing) fall completely head over heels for him.

"You know I completely hate you for making me do this, right?" I sighed slapping his arm playfully trying to ignore the amount of muscle that my hand felt.

He smiled much more wider this time pulling me into one of his rib breaking hugs.

"I love you" he whispered placing a quick kiss on my forehead before pulling away.

Yeah but not the way I want I thought before quickly walking away throwing my white homecoming rose in the bin.

I stared out at the ocean willing the tears to stop spilling down my face.

The tug I felt at my heart wore me down until I found myself running out of campus, barely getting in my car before the tears ran trails down my cheeks.

My straight blonde hair whipped my face harshly in the wind bringing me back to reality.

"Hey girl" a voice said as I felt slim arms wrap around my waist pulling my head onto their shoulder.

"Hey Chyna" my voice croaked as I turned my face towards my girl bestie,

"Cole again?" She said her beautiful face flashing with sympathy,

"Who else is there?", I said turning my face towards the ocean,

"Every time I say I found someone else, he comes up outta nowhere pulling my heart around like its a trolley".

Chyna pulled my face off her shoulder staring deeply in my ocean blue eyes before shouting,

"Hun, you are crazy if you think I hauled my ass to a beach that's fricken 1 hour away for a heartbroken loser! We can't keep doing this! You either tell him or you can spend alot more time on this beach crying alone cuz I am running out of patience and petrol!" , I grinned up at her as she continued her rant, " annnnnd anyways a sexy mami like you shouldn't be moping around... which is why you're coming to Conrad's party with me".

She brushed my tears away before pulling me up off my feet. "Now go beautify yourself girl you gonna get laid tonight!" She shouted before quickly adding "btw I totally meant what I said about the sexiness earlier, but right now you look like complete ass".

I laughed loudly while I gave her my favourite finger. Wondering to myself how someone as unfortunate as myself could end up with a chick like Chyna.

4 hours later...........

I look around at the party feeling myself start to let go, getting drunker and drunker, fully unaware of the green eyes that followed my every move.
