I slide the dress up my body and push my arms through, reaching back to zip it up. It takes a couple tries before I get the zipper all the way zipped. I run my hands down the dress and admire it in the mirror, it looks perfect. I slip my feet in the heels and go back into the room. The expression on Jen's face is priceless as she turns and stares at me with her mouth open.

"That dress looks amazing on you, we need to do your hair and makeup." she practically shouts as she rushes me into the bathroom.

"I don't know, I don't want to go overboard." I say.

"You won't I swear, please" she begs.

"Okay, but only a little makeup and I'll do my hair." I say, giving in. Her face lights up again and she pulls her makeup bag out. I feel her cover my face with a moisturiser, foundation, then powder before applying blush on my cheeks. She tells me to open my eyes as she puts mascara and a small line of eyeliner on my waterline and upper eyelid. I hope she's not putting too much on me but when I look in the mirror, it's not too much at all. I look better than I have ever looked. I thank her and give her a hug without thinking about it. She surprises me by hugging me back. I go back into the bathroom and plug the straightener in, I look over myself in the mirror again as I wait for it to heat up. You can see my black brassiere but it is supposed to be seen because of the dress style. I'm glad I remembered to shave this morning because this would be embarrasing if I didn't.

I pull my hair out of the ponytail when the straightener beeps, I brush my hair out with my fingers before separating my layers. I straighten each layer of my dark brown hair that goes right below my shoulder blade then run it through it one last time. I find a comb out of the drawer and tease my bangs then bobby pin them up. Not causing the bump to be too big but making sure there is one.

"You look great." Jen says as I meet you back into her room. I take in her appearance, she's wearing the dress she had picked out and her hair is wavy from being damp. Her makeup is the same as earlier, just like mine except no eyeliner on her top lid. She looked beauitful.

"Uh, do you see yourself? You look beautiful." Most people look slutty when they go to parties but we don't look that way at all. I'm glad I have her as a friend now, it would of been awful if Spencer had me meet a whore. We should be getting back to Spencer, we have been in here for almost an hour.

"Are you ready to go?" I ask as she grabs her purse from her bed.

"Yeah, let's go." she smiles. We go downstairs and down the hall, finding Spencer leaning against the walls looking through his phone. He looks up and sees us coming. He puts his phone back into his pocket and walks toward us. I fluster as I watch him eye my body up and down, biting his bottom lip. His cheeks growing light pink as he realizes I caught him staring.

"We're ready." I say.

"About time, you guys took forever." I roll my eyes at him as we leave.

"Girls take awhile, do you see how good we look." she grabs my hand and we both twirl together.

"Yeah, whatever. You guys look okay, I guess." he mumbles with a smile, keeping his eyes on me.

"We look great." I smirk and climb into the car. We don't talk much on the way. I stare out the window, watching everything pass. We pass buildings, houses, trees, and gardens. It all becomes a blur as I start thinking, this is where I live now. I'm with the only two people I know here and my family are probably on their way back home right now. I snap out of my daydreams when Spencer slams on the brakes. I glare at him before I check my phone to see if anyone messaged me. I have four new messages. I guess my mom and Zack are mad. Well I did just randomly refuse to not go home.
