My Beloved Ghost

Chapter 2

It happened so fast.

Only one call is needed to know that my chance to see her again will never come.

It was Sunday morning when I was relaxing and playing Dota 2 at my home so I didn't notice my phone right away. You see, whenever I play that game, I don't care about my surroundings and all I care is winning against my opponent.

After the game, I checked my phone right away to check the time. Since I don't have anyone to text to and I don't text Rejine too often, checking time at my phone and playing games is the only purpose of my phone. But I was surprised when I saw twenty missed calls in my phone and it's all from Peachie. So I called her back.

"Hello Peachie! Daming missed calls ahh." I said cheerfully.

"Hoy Dres! Bakit hindi mo sinasagot mga tawag ko! Kanina pa kita tinatawagan! Ano bang pinanggagawa mo?!" Peachie said in a loud and irritating voice.

"Chill ka lang. Sobrang miss mo na ba ako talaga at nagkakaganyan ka." I said with a laugh.

"Arghh!!" Peachie screamed. "Alright. Huwag kang mabibigla. May sasabihin ako, okay?" Then she continued in a calm voice.

"Ha? Ano ba yan? Parang weird mo ata ngayon? Well, weird ka na talaga dati pa pero parang mas weird ka ngayon." I said while being confused.

"Promise wag kang mabibigla ah?" Peachie asked.

This is really getting annoying. Why don't you say it already what you want to say? This is making me nervous.

"Oo. Ano nga?" I said before I clicked my tongue.

"Nasa hospital ako nito, may hindi inaasahang nangyari at.. at.." Peachie said before I interrupted her.

"Get to the point already!" I shouted.

Then, I heard Peachie exhaled so hard.

"Sige. Nasa operating room nito si Rejine. Medyo malubha yung mga sugat niya." Peachie explained then noticed that her voice was breaking down because of crying.

"ANO?! Bakit hindi mo sinabi agad?! Anong hospital yan?" I shouted in anger.

After I heard what hospital they are at, I immediately changed my clothes and didn't even bothered to take a shower then went to that hospital.

I'm really worried about Rejine. What happened to her? I forgot to asked Peachie on the phone since I ended the call after I heard what hospital they are at and wanted to go there as quickly as possible.

As soon as I arrived at the hospital, I asked the security guard where the operating room is. He told me the direction and hurriedly went there. Afterwards, I saw Peachie sitting in a chair, staring blankly at the floor. I also noticed other people with her.

Peachie suddenly looked at me while crying and went near me. I can see her eyes swelling because of too much crying, maybe.

"Peachie, anong nangyare kay Rejine?" I asked seriously.

Peachie can't seem to answer right away. What happened to her energy when I was talking to her at the phone. Well, I can see in her face why she can't talk properly. Her face is usually serious and uptight but today, she is like a baby who only seem to know is to cry.

"Calm down, Peach. Tell me, what happened?" I said to comfort her while holding her shoulders.

"Alam mo naman na nakadorm si Rejine di ba?" Peachie said while her whole body trembles. "Nangyari.. ito.. kanina.. lang. P-p-pinasukan daw yung dorm niya ng magnanakaw at tapos.. tapos.." Then she continued before crying loudly and can't seem to continue what she is saying anymore.
