It was sunset.
Baekhyun watched with an unwavering gaze, as the fiery red ball slowly sank behind the buildings and the threads of light mingled with the sky, dyeing them first with orange, then red, then dark blue, until all that was left of the sunset was a blanched mauve. Baekhyun felt the beautiful blend entering his veins; as if they were the hue of happiness. This was his favorite moment of the day when nature itself seems to be still and watching the sun making its journey to sleep. Rolling down the black glass a little, Baekhyun welcomed the summer breeze that kissed his face fondly, running gently through his luscious hairs. He wanted to close his eyes and feel the calmness provided but he didn't want to miss out on the beautiful canvas painted by nature. He has always found it beautiful. So marvelous. However, the beauty of the sunset has only intensified his pain.
"Young Master Baekhyun, please roll up the windows. It's not safe for you." Leetuk said, his eyes fixed in the front. Baekhyun sighed and did as told even if he didn't want to. He hated going out with the elder secretory. He felt so uncomfortable, so trapped. He couldn't even breathe properly in his company but no matter how bothersome he felt, he was not allowed to fight back. Usually, it would be Sehun and Jongin who would accompany him if he wished to go out of the mansion but the former had to take care of some family business so Leetuk replaced him. And now Baekhyun was regretting choosing the day for his outing. Jongin, who probably sensed the discomfort of his friend, looked at him through the rear-view and smiled apologetically. Baekhyun smiled back and then averted his gaze to the passing streets outside. The car stopped at the signal and the brown-haired boy closed his eyes for a moment only to have them wide-opened when the sound of gunshots reverberated in his ears. Baekhyun doesn't need to ask what's going on when the driver stepped on the gas as soon as the signal turned green and he saw Leetuk and Jongin getting their guns ready; they were under attack!
Luhan loved working at the cafe for various reasons; number one being his liking towards the greasy food, from which the people of his class (Yep, he was hella rich!) liked to distance themselves from. And the second was- Luhan was a big foodie. He loved to eat the different types of food from all around the world. Thank god he was blessed with genes which kept his physique fit even after munching on boxes of pizza! The other and main important reason why he loved working was because of his parents. The Lu's were a big name in the market of diamonds and golds and with Luhan being the sole heir, they could have spoiled him with love and richness. But they didn't. Instead, they taught him the importance of money, told him to value even the invaluable and to treat everyone equally and with respect. The elderly Lus' didn't want their son to end up becoming a stuck up, ill-mannered brat like some kids so they told him to find a job and earn his own pocket money. Luhan was glad he obeyed them because now, he understands what his parents were trying to teach him. Also, because of his work, he has made some great friends whom he knew he was going to treasure forever.
"Hey Lu! " Yixing, a co-worker and Luhan's best friend smiled as soon as he spotted the blonde in the staff room.
"You're early today."
Luhan tightened the apron around his waist and put on his cap. Walking towards the full-length mirror, he looked at his reflection and grinned. He loved that uniform so much.
