When Via Polkiss, little sister of Piers Polkiss (one of Dudley Dursley's gang members. You know, the weasel-faced one??) is accepted into Hogwarts she doesn't know how to react. She feels the need to avoid her old neighbor and target of her teasing, Harry Potter, as she finds out that he is the so called 'Chosen One' of the wizarding world. On top of that, she is a muggleborn who was sorted into Slytherin. Surrounded by the strict opinions on blood purity that most in her house has, she knows she has to find a way to keep her origins secret. Lucky for her, she has a doppelganger who is attending Hogwarts.

Blythe Jesney, Ravenclaw, is a genius, more so than your average prodigy. She is a legilimens, practically psychic, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of literally everything in existence, thanks to her parents, who were willing to make her a test subject. While most expect her to enjoy these abilities, she doesn't. Bored out of her mind, she longs to be able to learn something, to have some fun. Blythe agrees to Via's insane plan to create an elaborate lie that they are long lost twins, looking for a little excitement.

Via is included in Blythe's attempts to infiltrate the dreams of others, taking her legilimency to another level. The two, along with Griffin Dobson, the school's resident Sherlock, and Drew Foller, Slytherin's largest flirt, unlock a realm where more than even the wizarding world knows is possible. They can be whoever they want, have all sorts of adventures free of consequence, and learn the deepest darkest secrets of their peers. They love it at first, but soon realize that the things they've discovered in their dreams make them targets of people who would want to exploit these abilities to bring down anyone in their way. People like Lord Voldemort.
