A Beat in the Stars

Keith POV

I woke up the next day, around noon, with an even worse headache. "Mom," I called out to my mom groaning. I curled into a little ball. My mom rushed into the room. "What's wrong," she said in a panicked tone. "My head hurts really badly. It was hurting yesterday,but it's worse today," I mumbled. My mom felt my forehead. "Let's go to the doctor. You don't have a fever but still," she said. I got up and she went to get ready while I got dressed. I wore a gray tank top with a two sizes too big, black hoodie, black skinny jeans and black combat boots. I trudged downstairs meeting my mom in the car. 

~2 p.m.~

Apparently I have blood pressure issues, so I have to be careful when dancing. I was exiting the town center and heading towards the parking lot when I noticed the dance team sitting at our usual table. Sky went over to me, with the rest of the group following behind. Sky hugged me and and I hugged him back wrapping my arms around his neck.  We stayed like that for a few minutes. "How are you feeling," the captain asked with a very concerned look on his face. "I honestly feel like complete crap," I mumbled. I was trying to return my breathing to normal and talking to the team. "Well if you need anything let us know. Krolia, if we need to watch him while you do work or something let us know IMMEDIATELY," the captain said. "I will. I actually have a meeting from 3 to midnight tonight so if you could come by the house then that would be well appreciated," my mom said. 

My mom and I went home, and the first thing I did was get changed into a pair of black sweatpants. I got under the covers and got comfortable and fell asleep. I woke up thirty minutes later to my phone ringing. I put it on speaker because holding it up to my ear.----------------

Me- Hello?

Lance-Hey! Just wondering how's life treating you?

Me-Good??? 

Lance- Oh, okay I-

Pidge- WE OVERHEARD YOU AT THE PARK! NOW SPILL THE TEA!?

Lance- PIDGE! SHUT THE-

Shiro- Lance! Language!

Hunk-Well now he knows we know so....

Me-Can you guys be quiet? I kind I have a really bad headache right now.

Pidge-AHA!

Lance-Sorry. You should rest if you feel bad. I could come take you if ya want.

Sky- You did not just say that to my baby brother

Me-*Chuckling* I'm not your brother*Chuckling* But Lance what did you say? I zoned out.

Lance- I said I could come take care of you if you want. My mom taught me great headache remedies. 

Me- Well... the dance team is here and they are VERY protective over me, especially if my mom is not home. 

Lance-Oh, well that's  ok! I gotta help with dinner anyway! I should get going, Talk to you later!

Me- Lance could you tell everyone I miss them?  It was hard to leave you guys, but that school wasn't healthy for me. I'm sorry. 

Lance hung up without responding. -----------------

Sky plugged my phone up as I started to fall back asleep because of the medicine. 

~1 hour later~

I woke up groggily to the smell of food. I love my dance team because they take care of me. I  sat up as Kyler knocked on my door and opened it revealing a plate. " You should eat a little. You haven't eaten all day," Kyler said. He set it down on my nightstand and left to give me a little peace. I ate in silence. I got my phone and decided to text Lance:

To Loverboy Lance: Hey thanks for checking up on me. When I said I missed everyone I meant you too. Sent at  3:36

After sending it I set the plate aside went to brush my teeth and went to bed because my head was pounding.
