Greer's POV:
Dad's stupid job got moved again which means, so do we. We just got the news last night and we have 2 days to pack.
This time, we're moving to Knoxville, Tennessee. I leave most my stuff in boxes and bins since we move so often, so I don't have a lot to pack. Unlike my 3 other sisters, 1 brother and parents.
The moving truck is in our driveway and we're loading in the furniture that we won't need for the next 2 days.
I roll of bed and start to put clothes in boxes. About an hour later, I realized I hadn't had breakfast and I had gotten minimal packing done. So, I go downstairs and grab a granola bar and an apple and make my way back up to my room.
I spend most of my day watching Netflix on my laptop. At a point in the evening my 14 year old sister, Beck, comes in my room.
"Hey kid." I say.
"Hey Greer. Dad ordered pizza, it's downstairs. You want me to bring you yours?"
Dad gets these personal mini pizzas for everyone because its cheaper and everyone likes different types and pizzas. So Beck brings up my pizza and we sit and talk about moving.
"Are you excited?" She asks.
"I guess. Im pretty much used to it by now."
She had a lot more stuff to pack up than me. It'll take me most of the morning to get all my stuff packed. so after we're done eating dinner, we go into her room and start packing some stuff up.
I take all the clothes in her closet and put them neatly into boxes. She takes everything out if her dresser and puts that into boxes as well. We carefully take everything off the walls and put those in separate containers. Her art supplies all got put into a special case and her canvases were nearly wrapped in tissue paper and then put into boxes.
We got most of the stuff in her room down and packaged up. I say goodnight to her and go back to my room for some sleep.
•••
I woke up and climbed out of bed. I started packing up my clothes leaving out a set for tomorrow. I take everything off my walls and shelves. By the end of the day, everything of mine was packed up except for my essentials for tomorrow.
I walk into the hallway and Ari and Liana come out of their room. They're 12 and twins.
"Greer, can you help us pack? Liana is incapable of doing anything but throw stuff into boxes." Ari complains.
"Yeah." I half smile.
•••
Beck stood over me, shaking my bed until I opened my eyes.
I eventually got up and got ready. The snow outside was lightly falling. Beck and the twins sat on my bed, waiting for me to finish getting ready.
I put on a pair of high waisted grey light wash skinny jeans and a Lana Del Rey baseball tee. My blonde curls fall down my back and I put a grey beanie on, too lazy and tired to tame the beast people call hair. I walk out of the bathroom and slip on my cranberry red vans.
My sisters follow me downstairs and we grab the essentials we need before getting in my car. I never really looked at the time this morning but I then realized it was 6:00am.
I put on my leather jacket, it being too cold to go without it, and we head off. As we drive down our street I see them lift my bed frame into the moving truck.
We start driving all the way to Tennessee but we get hungry around 8:30, so I pull into a McDonalds and we all get some food. We drive out of the parking lot laughing at the boy in the window because of his failed attempt at flirting with Beck and I.
We drive for a while longer and then stop for gas and a break. The girls go into QuikTrip to get us some snacks and drinks for the road.
They got me an Arizona tea and some candy. Their hands were filled with sweets as they walk out the door.
I laugh and they get in the car. We for about an hour more and then we pass a sign that says 'Welcome to Tennessee!'
"Well ladies, welcome to Tennessee!" I say, grinning.

So I know this was kind of a boring first chapter. It'll get better in the next one, I promise but I hope you enjoyed!
