The Best Day

El POV
My eyes slowly open up to the morning sun. I immediately smile, because today I'm marrying my best friend. I am beyond stoked. I feel his warm body lying gently against mine, and I slowly turn around. His eyes slowly open up, and he reaches his arm around my back and cuddles me. He whispers in my ear, "this is the first day of the best years of our lives, my love." I giggle and we cuddle until we have to drag ourselves out of bed.
I dress myself in sweats, and a t-shirt. I'm only going to Joyce's, I think to myself. I hear Mike call me downstairs saying it's time to go. As I head down the stairs I hear him say, "You look absolutely stunning." "I haven't even got dressed yet, babe." "Well you still look stunning, none the less." I giggle, ecstatic this is the man I'm about to marry. "I'll be the one in white," I say. We both smile and head out the door.
I head to Joyce's to get ready. As I walk in the door, she immediately hugs me and I'm mauled by all of my party. Nancy, my maid of honor, Max, Holly, Karen and Joyce, all of my bridesmaids. After they calm down, we head to get my makeup done, and nails done at the Hawkins Salon. We all carpool in Joyce's van, and head on our way.
Mike POV
As I head into Hop's house, I am greeted with, "Congrats!" I am hugged and slapped on the back more times than I can count. After, we all decide to Stand by me, since it will take the girls longer to get ready. We all settle down with our popcorn and candy.
El's POV
After the salon we all head back to Joyce's house to get dressed. As I put my dress on, Karen comes in the room. I can tell she is starting to tear up. "You know, ever since I met you, I knew you and Mike were soulmates. You two were just perfect together. I had always prayed for Mike to find his other half, and I'm so happy it's you." I start to tear up too. "Thank you Karen, that means a lot to me." We then head to the local beach, which we rented out for the day. When we pull in, I start to tear up again, because we had set everything up the night before, so it was beautiful. We all head to a tent, we're we put finishing touches to our outfits, then wait for 4:00 to come.

Mikes POV
When we arrive, we head to the tent next to the girls, to finish, careful not to see El. The time has finally come and I start to walk down the isle. As the wedding party goes down, my heart is racing, ready to see El. Then, all at once, my heart stops, as Faithfully played, El, the most beautiful women on the planet walks down the isle. We both start to tear up. She is in the most stunning dress and I can't believe this women is mine. When she makes he way up, we say all of the legal stuff, but then we get into the stuff that I know will make me cry. We decided to write our own vows. I start by staying, "Eleven Jane Hopper, the day I met you, I knew you were my soulmate. I knew you were the person that was my other half. I have become a better person because of you. I love you with all my heart and soul, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
El's POV
At this point, I'm practically balling. I just keep thinking how lucky I am. I finally choke back tears enough. "You found me. You gave me a home. That is something beautiful. I was scared, and you gave me safety. I am forever thankful. You are the kindness, smartest, geekiest, and one of the best humans, I have ever met. Your my soul mate, best friend, other half, pro cuddler, and now I can finally add husband to the list. I love you for eternity, Michael Wheeler.
Mikes POV
After I finish crying, the preacher says that I may kiss my bride, which I gladly accept. We walk down the isle with our friends and family cheering for us. We make our way to get our pictures done.
El's POV
After what seems like eternity of taking pictures, we finally get to eat! We enter our tent and start eating. We decided that we would serve different kinds of pasta, bread, and an eggo cake! After we finish eating, we have our first dance. We danced to our song, Every breath you take. Mike and I held each other, enjoying our first dance as a husband and wife.
