Miraculous ~ Trip to Malibu [FANFIC]

Chapter 18

A/N: We're really sorry for making you wait! There's an explanation at the end of the chapter.

Marinette POV

No one has said anything for the past few days. It has also gotten to the point that our classmates have figured out who we are.

FLASHBACK, 3rd person POV

"Hey Kim, don't you think that Mari, Adrien, Chloe, Alya and Nino have been way too quiet?" Alix asked Kim as he was sleeping on the sand.

"Yeah, and it's making me feel weird. Usually they'll be super loud, laughing at random shit." Kim responded. "Did something happen between them?"

Mylene overheard their conversation and noted that Adrien and Marinette have been the most suspicious out of everyone. If they were paired up, they wouldn't act like a couple. It was better than the two engaging in PDA but still, it wouldn't hurt them just to have some moments.

Mylene heard Marinette run off and was curious about where she was going. She followed Marinette and hid behind a building. Marinette looked left and right and transformed into Ladybug. Mylene gasped loudly, catching Ladybug's attention. Both of them froze in place just and Adrien, Chloe, Alya and Nino arrived.

"Please don't tell anyone--" Adrien was cut off when he found the rest of their classmates staring at them in awe. Nathaniel appeared to be the only one who remained calm in the situation and Adrien has yet to discover why.

"Why couldn't you tell us earlier?" Rose asked.

"No one would understand--" This time, it was Ladybug herself being cut off.

"But we would!" Juleka shouted, surprising everyone.

Lila glared at Ladybug. "Now that it turns out you are Marinette, this makes me hate you even more!"

"I'm sorry that you were born to be a brat, but I guess your only purpose for existence is to pretend that you're the annoyed one," Chloe rolled her eyes.

"Coming from daddy's girl!" Lila yelled at Chloe.

"Guys, stop yelling at each other!" Ms. Bustier said.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Okay since this atmosphere is making me uncomfortable, I think I'll start off," I told everyone. "It's true that I am Ladybug and I can't change it. I once tried to change it though and I regretted it."

Lila stood up and was about to shout something until Chloe punched her shins, forcing Lila to be quiet.

"I was originally going to give the Ladybug miraculous to Alya--"

"Wait a minute, I was going to be Ladybug?! No way!" Alya shrieked. Nino clamped his hand over Alya's mouth and motioned his hand at Marinette to continue.

"Yep, you were going to be Ladybug. Until Tikki told me that I am destined to be Ladybug and no one else in this generation--"

"Wait a minute, who's Tikki?" Ivan asked.

"Good question. Tikki!" Marinette called her kwami out. Tikki arrived in human form and shyly waved her hand at everyone. "Tikki, turn into your kwami form please." A pinkish-red light illuminated Tikki and in a second, she turned back into her kwami form. Everyone, excluding Lila, looked at Tikki in curiosity.

"Ew! What kind of bug are you?!" Lila spat at the kwami.

"A cute one," Tikki rolled her blue eyes. "You can get an autograph later."

Adrien held his nose when Plagg flew out of his pocket, holding his beloved camembert cheese. Everyone held their breaths in an attempt to not smell the cheese.

"What? It's delicious! Mari, your younger sister loves cheese!"

"Seriously? She must be a pig," Lila interrupted again. She heard someone clear their throat and looked behind her to see Raina herself.

"Got a problem?"

"How on earth do you even stand cheese?!"

"Since it's delicious and you can't say that you've had a burger or a sandwich without cheese. Also, let me clarify your statement: you say that people who eat cheese are pigs. Logically, mice would eat cheese but since I'm not--"

*ahem*

"--I mean Plagg and I aren't mice, you can't really try to sort us into animal groups. And I'm pretty sure that all of the non-existent fame went into your head so that's probably why you basically try to drag my sister down."

"Me dragging her down? She deserves it!"

"And you basically don't expect yourself to be punished?"

"No--"

"See, this is why you have no friends."

"Why you little ratchet!" Lila lunged herself at Raina but she moved quickly, making Lila land face-plant.

"Well that's gonna hurt. I'm out."

Raina was about to ditch her sister when Marinette grabbed her hand. "Wouldn't you want to explain yourself to them?"

Raina rolled her eyes and crossed her arms together. "As you've already known, I am Marinette's younger sister, Raina. My kwami is Mikki who happens to be Tikki's younger sister." Mikki, in kwami form, appeared out of Raina's pocket and flew to Tikki.

"Can we just say that this is sister goals?" Rose said. Raina nodded her head while Marinette smiled.

"Okay Mikki, try going into your human form."

"Uh....I forgot..." Mikki looked down while Tikki shook her head. 

"Never mind that, I think we deserve to hear a word from the others."

Adrien POV

"And I vote for Adrien to be the next speaker," Marinette said. She sat down while I stood up.

"Probably no one is going to believe me but I'm Chat Noir." Everyone went silent. "Purr-incess, why is no one talking?"

"Now they are," Marinette rolled her eyes. I wish that she wouldn't roll her eyes at made fabulous puns!

"Who would have known that Mr. Gentleman is the slightly bat-shit crazy hero?" Kim said. "And the one who makes the worst puns."

"I'm telling you Kim, my puns are amazing! And you're really lucky that I did not save your name as Kardashian on my phone!"

"You think I'm similar to her? Thanks a--"

"Moving on," I interrupted Kim. "You've also seen my kwami, Plagg. Also known as the king of trash--"

"Say that one more time and I'm seriously going to throw out all of your mangas and anime dvds!"

"Please don't."

Before the chapter gets way too long, here are the reasons why we've been gone.

1. We're kind of losing interest in writing fanfiction but we'll try our best to finish our works!

2. Summer vacation. It ends up making it easier for our family members to see what we're doing and we don't really want them to know that we write fanfictions.

3. This is probably one of the most common reasons, but writer's block. We can't really think about any ideas apart from the duo (and eventually, the rest of the group) admitting their identities.

A. Wait for a few days for a chapter yet it's extremely short?

B. Have a long chapter yet you would have to wait for a week or so?
