mingyu neatened out the school uniform they were instructed to wear after getting his makeup touched up. they were in the middle of filming and it had been around three days into the shoot. mingyu had been doing his part well and so had to other cast members. but now, it was the part he was dreading the most: filming with junhui.
those first few days were spent shooting the introduction and showing how doyong's life had worked prior to meeting the transfer student. today was the first day junhui would be at this specific set as he was filming his own character's solo parts.
mingyu's hands were sweating and his foot refused to stop tapping on the ground. he flinched when an arm draped over his shoulders. mingyu glanced next to him frantically which made the person laugh.
"you seem nervous. you were fine two minutes go" seongwoo laughed, peering up at mingyu would flatter out a laugh. "what's up?"
mingyu gnawed on his bottom lip and fiddled with the sleeves of the uniform blazer. "it's nothing"
"it's clearly something" seongwoo persisted. "you can tell your hyung. i won't judge"
"oh uh... okay" mingyu sighed, feeling bashful and shy about his current situation.
"i'm uh nervous about filming with junhui hyung because i maybe have a little, tiny crush on him" mingyu made sure to whisper the last part of that sentence just incase anyone else heard him but apparently, he wasn't quiet enough.
"yeah, duh!" nayoung groaned, standing next to mingyu now along with hyunwoo who was sipping on a matcha latte.
"tiny crush my ass" she scoffed. "it's so obvious whenever you're around him. i'm pretty sure he's the only person who can't see how incredibly in love you are with him-"
"noona!" mingyu wailed, panicking and covering the girl's mouth before she overspoke. hyunwoo laughed at the tallest and patted his back.
"it's okay, mingyu. we'll help you"
mingyu paused and looked at the oldest, his eyes pleading and filled with mild fear. "please don't"
"no. we will because you'll look completely pathetic trying to do it yourself" nayoung said, crossing her arms over her chest and making mingyu pout.
"who even said that i wanted to be with him?" mingyu mumbled and stared at his polished, black leather shoes.
"shut up, mingyu, we all know you want to date him" seongwoo retorted. mingyu went to open his mouth to protest until seongwoo interrupted him.
"speak of the devil" he snickered.
"hey guys" junhui waved, greeting everyone with a small bow. nayoung smiled brightly and clutched onto junhui's side.
"good morning, jun. how are you?"
"i'm great. Excited to film with you all" junhui replied without the smile leaving his face which gave mingyu heart palpitations. he was going to pass out in five seconds.
then, the director called all of the cast members over to the set, claiming that they would be starting to film in a few minutes.
the five sauntered off towards the set. mingyu kept peaking to the side where hyunwoo and junhui were talking. something about a place that made really good cold brew...? mingyu hadn't the slightest clue what the conversation was really about but made a mental note about junhui's alleged love for a good caffeinated drink. that would possibly come in handy. maybe, maybe not.
minseok explained the scene they would be shooting to all the actors and extras, adjusting the worn out cap on his head after he was done speaking. the scene contained the two main character's first interaction and the exact moment doyong would become confused over the emotions he would soon feel for junhui's character.
