She's living a lie. The constructs of the reality that she spent years fabricating is tearing away, leaving only an empty blackhole of disgrace. As her list of lies increases, so does the constant pressure of reserving the world that keeps her ego complacent. Letting people see her for who she was didn't satisfy a her corrupted heart. She only wanted them to see her as a Saint, even if that was the furthest thing from the truth, which it was.

Because her mind would never accept defeat, and the truth meant defeat. No matter if it was inevitable or the only way to repair the damage it had caused. The only thing that mattered was her. Only herself and that weighed out the consequences the unwilling participants in her twisted games felt. They were only players, if you could even call them that. She treated them more like chess pieces.

They weren't as easy to control or manipulate as it was to move a single chess piece, and she was never any good at chess or her own tricky game.

Once they were tired of her and accused her of even a few of the many sins she had committed, she would leave. They had no right to accuse her of anything. They were her friends and they should trust her, even if they knew she was wrong.

What she didn't realise was that, that was the problem. They were her friends, but she wasn't their's.

The only friend she had was herself. That would never change, because friends know who you are, and if anyone found out exactly who she was, they would leave. If anything, they only knew altered fragments of her, ones that were only created to please others and keep her in the good light of others.

All of them thought they knew her, or that they had figured her out, but they didn't. Nobody did. All they knew were lies of innocence and holiness. Even she wasn't fully aware of the monster she had become. A monster that was lead by the chaos that had built it's nest of lies and mayhem in the empty hole that once held her beating, red heart, before it decayed into darkness and the deceit that drove everyone away and led her to replacing them, but it never stopped, not even when it consumed her entire being, staining her once pure soul.

***

This vicious cycle that she had trapped herself in, kept repeating in a continuous loop that remained undisturbed and unrivaled by any other.

Until everyone decided that they had enough.
