He laid there, in his bed with his thoughts consuming his mind, letting them sink into every corner just like how the darkness had crept into his room. He stayed still, eyes shut tight to prevent the emotion trying to slip down his cheeks in a liquid form. He refused. He refused to cry in his dark bedroom, all alone.
He gulped down the painful lump in his throat, gaining enough courage to open his eyes, and he glanced around the room, not surprisingly, he can't see anything except for the red numbers on his alarm clock. 4:16 a.m. His vision blurred, and he let out a dry and unexpected sob as the weight in his chest got heavier with each passing moment, his right hand gripping onto the fabric of his shirt, just where his heart was. Hunched over, the tears spilled out at a rapid and worrisome pace, a high pitched and off key sound spilling out of his mouth, though it still sounded melodic and mournful as the boy laid in his bed and grieved.
He gasped as if he had not breathed in days, his hands beginning to claw at everything they touched. His hair, his clothes, his arms, the blankets and pillows around him all suffered from the same claw marks that only dull nails could have caused. He screamed out in agony, his cheeks flushed a blotched pink, though no one was there to witness it.
