42: The Vampire and the Hunter

"Quick! We're losing him!"

Jungkook ran as fast as he could, he breathed heavily as he tried to escape the vampire hunters that were targeting him since he was a young boy.

Jungkook hid behind a tree, covering his mouth to muffle his breathing.

"Dammit. We lost him."

"Let's check over there."

Jungkook heard footsteps ran away to a different direction.

Jungkook peeked his head, seeing no sign of the hunters.

He left his hiding spot and began walking away.

Jungkook was then tackled, his eyes widened in fear as he saw one of the hunters send him a death glare.

"Any last words you blood sucker?"the hunter spat, Jungkook whimpered as a tear rolled down his eye.

"Please...don't kill me...I'm not like those other vampires. I don't kill innocent lives for fun, I do it to live."Jungkook pleaded, he saw the hunter take out a stake from his pocket.

"They're still innocent lives."the hunter sneered, placing the stake over Jungkook's chest.

"I beg of you, please don't kill me, I've lost so many, please spare me."Jungkook began crying, tears leaving his eyes.

Jungkook closed his eyes shut, waiting for his fate to play its end.

The hunter turned his head as he heard footsteps coming towards him, the hunter turned back to the boy.

"Stay low and pretend you're dead."the hunter ordered, he stood up, walking over to a dead deer that was prey to a fox a few minutes ago.

The hunter carried the deer with all his might, making his way back towards the boy before dropping it on top of him, seeing blood spread around the boy.

The hunter grabbed the deer and threw it as far as he could, he turned his head as he heard the bushes rustle.

"Nice work Taehyung. Thought we lost him for a second."

The hunter named Taehyung nod.

"Thanks Namjoon hyung, I guess sneaking around really helped me a lot."

"Finally we can go home now."Yoongi yawned. "I wanna take a nap."

"Lets report back."Namjoon told.

"I'll meet you guys there, I'm gonna stroll around for a sec."

Namjoon nod.

"Don't stay out too late."both Namjoon and Yoongi began walking away, leaving Taehyung alone.

Taehyung then turned towards the boy.

"They're gone now."

Jungkook got up, looking up at Taehyung.

"T-thank you. I-I'm very grateful for what you did."Jungkook bowed his head repeatedly.

Taehyung scoffed.

"I still hate your kind."Taehyung told.

"I-I know...but...thank you."

"I better get going before they'll find me, stay away from us."Taehyung told, walking away from Jungkook.

"I hope we meet again..."
