Y/N POV - 5 years ago...
Here we go again...
The pain of metal and leather flayed against my flesh, as two voices cried out for my tormentor to stop...
Now, it isn't exactly what I had hoped for when I was adopted by this family, but compared to what had happened to me before hand...
This was probably on the same level of pain, maybe a bit more...
Why I'm treated like this, I'll never know, though I'll have these scars for the rest of my life to remind me never to trust anyone...
Yang: "Dad, stop!" She called out as I covered my head feebly with my bloodied hands "You'll kill him!" She cried out as the sounds of someone else sniffling back tears came to my ears.
Well... maybe don't trust MOST people...
Tai: "If he was a real man, he wouldn't just lay down and take it like he is!" He thundered, silencing Yang as he continued to belt me with the old rusted belt that I had decided to name 'Rusty', for obvious reasons.
The pain continued for hours, though eventually, he grew tired of belting me, and I, being the smartass I am, decided to test my luck.
Y/N: "Whats the matter Tai?" I teased as I coughed up blood "Getting too tired in your old age to keep it up?" I smirked, blood flowing from a cut on my forehead down my bruised face.
Tai stopped in the doorway, debating whether or not he should finish what he had started before growling out an inaudible threat.
Tai: "Qrow is coming over later, so clean up your mess..." he growled before slamming the door behind him as he left.
Yang: "You really shouldn't anger him..." she stated shakily, tears forming in her eyes "Every time you do... it gets worse..." she murmured.
Y/N: "Can't help it..." I groaned as I tried to stand up, using the nearby table to help me up as my vision blurred and head spun for a few seconds.
Y/N: "I'm not about to take all this sitting down, besides..." I smirked "At least I was somewhat comfortable on the floor." I joked as a small smile came to her face.
Yang: "How is it that you can joke at a time like this?" She asked still teary-eyed.
I chuckled before groaning as the pain returned, blood dripping slightly from my mouth.
Y/N: "It's easier when you don't have a choice..." I sighed as I fell down against the wall, my vision blurring again.
Yang: "I'll go a wet towel from the kitchen..." she stated, still shaken and trying to hold back tears.
Y/N: "Yang..." I croaked out as she turned to look at me "...Don't cry... don't waste any tears on something you can't change, okay?" I pleaded as I griped my side as blood started to seep through my shirts material.
She quickly wipped her tears away, before nodding her understanding and leaving to get the wet towel as I sighed, contemplating why I stayed here, not even realising that I was falling asleep.
???: "NO!!! STOP!!" A voice called out as I quickly got up and ran down the stairs to see Yang trying to get something out of Tai's hands...
Something metal...
Tai: "LET GO OF ME!!" He thundered as Yang continued to try and wrestle the object from his hands.
Y/N: "What the..." I breathed as I started forward, only to be backhanded by Tai into the stairs.
Yang: "DON'T HURT HIM!!!" She begged as Tai broke free from her grip and pointed the metal object at me...
Which, unfortunately for me, turned out to be a gun...
Y/N: "Well shi-"
