There was a very famous saying in my village.
"Tragedies do not behalf with warnings."
It would be something the elders would often say when the children would do something mischievous that would lead them to injures or accidents. Our elders would often warn us to be careful of our decisions as they could cause as suffering. That no suffering would warn you of it's arrival rather would take you by surprise and leave you broken.
However, the tragedies that would follow us after Sultan Osman's enthronement were those we had already anticipated and the suffering that it would cause we had ourselves welcomed into our home.
