"God, yes. We're just gonna get comfortable watch a movie and then—I hope so, I want it to be special.—Yes, he is. Max is—Just a moment please." I felt her staring at me but I could bother less to pay attention to her if she didn't feel like properly greeting me. Busying my self with the faucet I rinsed out the sink, cleaning off the coffee stains.

She obnoxiously coughed this time, not giving her the satisfaction of looking at her I continued on with my business, sweeping over the countertops to leave everything behind clean. "Excuse me, dear God are you deaf?"

I looked up this time, Maximus' girlfriend, or so I assumed, in front of me whom I couldn't bother to remember the name of. "No, do you have manners? Actually, I didn't mean to ask because clearly you don't." Her hand went up to her chest, her mouth slightly fell open, as if to say how I dared to speak to her like that. She regained her posture and stared at me as if I were a piece of trash.

"Can't you see I'm on the phone. Leave."

I ignored her, and as I finished up the countertop she interrupted again. "Hello? Helloo?" She waved her hands from side to side, as if I hadn't heard her before. She really was quite obnoxious. "You have eyes, can't you see that I'm working."

Manners had always been the key thing my father was very strict over. It is a simple human task, though lots of people were slacking regarding that trait.

I've thought about it before, and conversed over it with my father. People who had been impolite to me in the past, seemed to have been looking down on me. Perhaps because I didn't meet up to their standards, perhaps because I looked different, perhaps because we weren't that well of.

It was something my father had always made me aware of, seeing as we weren't necessarily wealthy, far from it actually. But he always told me I was worthy, reminding me to never forget that.

"You're disgusting, do something about your big ugly poofy hair."

It wasn't that I was biting my lip because I was mad, more so because she was being really ridiculous and ignorant. Relief washed over me when she walked away and let me do my job. If I were to spend a little more time in her vicinity, I was fairly certain I would have snapped.

I didn't understand why she regularly visited thus place. The last time I had seen Maximus was over a week ago, yet I had seen her almost everyday either on the phone or parading around the building for no apparent reason. I was almost positive she had no business here, except for being Maximus' girlfriend.

Fortunately for me, it were to be only two more days until they wouldn't see me here anymore, that I wouldn't have the see her anymore.

I walked around the floor, on the look out for anything I had missed, I had still half an hour to spare.Walking around, was a way of trying to kill time but in reality, it didn't change much.

The way in which this building was designed, it seemed as if each floor went on forever as the floor plan was quite open with glass walls surrounding the whole place. I had been lucky for they only designated one floor to me as duty to maintain proper and clean.

Quite a relief, as this building counted ten floors, the ninth one under my responsibility. It was nice to be up so high as it gave a whole new perspective to the city of London when you looked outside the window.

I had heard a couple of days ago that the founder of this company, whatever the name, had his office on the top floor but I hadn't been there nor do I know whom he is. I really should pay more attention to my surroundings or people speaking to me.

"Hey, you." The small brunette whom I remembered to be Maximus' secretary peaked her head out from behind her computerscreen. I had never seen her there before, which ones again confirmed my lack of acknowledging my surroundings and paying attention. From the looks of it, his office seemed quite secluded and bigger than the others I had to clean every evening. I hadn't realised it was his it belonged to.
