29: Willoughby

A couple days pass and i’ve been dodging my friends like they are the pledge not wanting to answer for anything i’ve done to them or what i’ve done to Elena. So instead i went with Nik to track down the little wolf and my search leads us to a truckstop a couple miles outside of Charleston, West Virginia so Nik and i woke up and headed straight there easily picking up on her scent. When my uncle and i found her there was a rough vampire going after he so without hesitation my uncle and i just looked at each other coming up with a plan, “that’s no way to treat a lady,” my uncle says making the vampire turn his back to hayley and me to my uncle and that’s when i speed over to him sinking my teeth into him causing him to scream out in pain before throwing him to the ground looking at my uncle as my eyes go back to the brown they are naturally.

“You came,” Hayley says and i just gave my uncle a look that says ‘really you made me track her down and you knew where she was at?’ making him smile.

“You wouldn't have came if i told you i knew where she was and yes Hayley, you did say it was urgent,” my uncle says offering Hayley his hand as the vampire i bit runs away and i turn to see Halley's look which makes me laugh a bit.

“Don't worry about him, he will be dead before nightfall if he continues to use his vampire abilities,” i say looking at her.

“What is there more?” she asks worriedly.

“Do you really think anyone is stupid enough to go up against two originals, but not just any originals a hybrid and a tribrid?” i say to her as i keep my ears tuned for any more unwanted guest since i could smell Katerina on the guy, “if you were stupid enough to make a deal with Katerina Petrova maybe you should be dead. At this point i'm guessing you’re just a loose end meaning you are going to want to stay with someone who will save your ass,” i say as she pushes past me and my uncle turns to look at me seeing the annoyed look on my face.

“You said you would protect me with Elisha,” she says.

“And we will. Just as soon as you tell me everything you know about Katerina,” Nik says and Hayley sighs a bit in frustration.

I start to walk back over to where we parked my car passing Hayley, “come on, we don't have all day,” i say still walking as i hear my uncle start to follow along with Hayley. I drive us back to the mansion since Hayley said that she hasn't slept in a couple days and really hasn't ate anything so Nik agreed to let her rest and give her some food.

Other than Hayley sleeping up stairs the house was empty leaving Nik and i to sit in the living room together, “so the other night when we got released from the Gilbert house you drank an entire bottle of bourbon,” he starts and i give him a confused look and he smiles a bit, “i though you didn't drink.”

“A lot happened, i needed a drink, a large one at that,” i say looking down at the ground slightly, “i did watch my second favorite uncle burn to a crisp, dieing, and then had to see his body just sit there until Caroline had the decency to cover him up.”

“Have you told Elijah?” Nik asks and i sigh shaking my head, “do you want me to do it?”

“No, i’ll do it, just make sure Rebekah knows,” he nods as there was a nock on the door and he gets up to answer it. I hear Damon says something before walking into the house into the living room where he sees me and pauses slightly as Nik walks in also.

“It’s called ‘things you suck at’,” Damon says moving to look at Nik, “number one: finding Kathine. Ever. number two: covering up your secret phone conversations with that little backstabber Hayley,” Damon then waves a couple pieces of paper in the air before putting them on the coffee table, “yeah, so, where is she? What does she know about Katherine?”
