orenda
(ɒˈrɛndə)
noun
An internal summoning of personal strength to change fate; the courage to love someone against the obstacles life has set before you.
"It's okay, Y/N. Everything's okay." He said and closed the left space between you two and grabbed your hand, pulling you away from the edge. The gushing water died down as your eyes remained fixated on Peter's. The deep blue in his eyes provided you with calm and comfort and helped you ease down.
Just as you were about to thank Peter for whatever it was that he did, you felt a sharp pain on the side of your neck. Your eyes moved to see Fury standing behind you as he injected the sedatives into your vein. It was only a couple of seconds before everything within your vision blacked out and you fell into a pair of gentle arms.
"What did you do?" Peter hissed at Fury as he held your comparatively light figure. But before Fury could answer, the water that lay around the roof started forming streams as if someone had gushed life into it.
"That's not possible." Fury said in disbelief. "I gave him a heavy dose." He said and backed away. But Peter didn't. He held you close to him as the water kept rushing onto the roof as if out of nowhere but then they could see it. The waters in the Hudson River had already lost control. The city was being slowly flooded and the waters had started pouring in from the naturally sheltered harbour of the Atlantic Ocean as well.

Peter felt the weight in his arms lighten and realised you were standing up. He could not believe his eyes. Your hair had turned blue and so did your eyes that were now glowing. But before he could take in the complete transformation your body had gone under, Tony's suits had circled around the roof of the building and mechanical arms were trying to hold you down. It had only made things worse as the water turned into gravity-defying vortexes and had begun attacking everyone on the roof. Only except one man. Peter Quill. But he couldn't get through to you with the whirls blocking his way. Even Steve's shield was thrown off the roof.
Without a warning, Thor stepped out of the elevator and grey clouds came rolling over the skies bringing darkness from above. Fury brought up his gun and aimed for your leg but before he could pull the trigger, the water threw him off the building. Luckily, one of Tony's remaining suits grabbed in him on time.

The clouds grumbled, casting an ominous shadow upon you and Thor's approaching body. With a swift motion, Thor shot his hammer towards you. "No!" Peter yelled. For some reason, his head was hurting really bad and it was almost as if certain rows of waves were coming from you that were sending a shooting pain to his head.
