Squirrel represents trust, thrift and preparedness. Squirrel teaches us to gather resources and prepare for the future without accumulating things from the past, such as worries and fears. A very active and energetic animal, Squirrel reminds us that in our quest to achieve our goals we need to take time to socialize and rest. With much of it's time spent gathering and storing food, the spirit of the Squirrel informs us of the importance of balance between giving and receiving. Able to scurry up a tree to evade a predator, Squirrel cautions us that danger is best avoided by climbing to a higher place.
Squirrel is the cautious one of the spirit animals an guides us to be cautious of our surroundings and the people we surround ourselves with. To be careful of whom we trust and to climb higher on our paths to finding ourselves. To take the time to socialize and rest when the time comes.
