Peter
It was almost eight o'clock in the morning when I was gently shaken awake by someone. I opened my eyes to see Alex sat on the edge of my bed with a soft smile trading her features. "Good mornin." I greeted her as I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked around and saw that the other boys weren't here. "Where are the others?"
Alex sighed before helping me up. "They went down without you. They tried to make me to along but I wanted to wait for you. C'mon, get in your robes and meet me in the common room!" She told me as she headed out of the room and to the common room. I smiled to myself as I got dressed. She really is like a bit sister to me! I thought as I got dressed. After two minutes, I was ready and headed down the stairs to meet Alex. She smiled when she saw me as we headed down to the Great Hall.
"So, what do you miss about you-know-what?" I asked, trying to start up a conversation. She smiled as she thought.
"Personally?" She asked, I nodded. "Well... Probably Marlene, Mary and Alice." She suddenly got a smirk on her face. Oh no! "And being able to tackle you in a snowball fight!" We both started laughing. We were in a comfortable silence for the rest of the journey.
When we got to the Great Hall, we met up with the others. "Good morning, Angelica." James greeted. Odd, he usually greets the both of us. I thought. "Lukas." He added quickly when Alex looked pointedly at him. She shook her head before helping me with a spell, sending glares to James every now and then.
"Remember, swish and flick. It's all in the motion of your wand." Alex advised. I nodded. "Also, it helps when you say the incantation right! LeviOsah, not LeviosAH, got it?" I nodded and tried it. Alex laughed lightly as she put her hand on mine and moved it in the motion.
"Thanks, Angelica!" I thanked as McGonagall gave us out timetables. Me and Alex then got up and headed to our next class. She had her arm around my shoulders as we talked and walked. Our first lesson was Transfiguration. "What do you think we're learning about today?"
"I'm not entirely sure! I think, maybe transfiguring an animal into a goblet?" She suggested with a shrug. I shrugged as well when James came and pushed me to the side so that he could be next to James. I looked down at the ground with a sad expression. "What do you want, James? You could see that I was talking with Lukas, not YOU!" She snapped before coming over to me and ruffling up my hair. I playfully scowled at her before lightly punching her shoulder causing her to laugh.
"You know I don't like my hair being ruffled!" I whined playfully causing her to laugh again. I saw the other three glaring at me, I whimpered.
"You're telling me after lessons!" Alex said before going into the classroom. The three smirked at each other before glaring at me and entering. We did exactly what Alex predicted. "Lukas, here! 1..." Tap. "2..." Tap. "Veraverto!" And the fat turned into a goblet.
"Well done Ms. Lu– Ms. Branson." McGonagall quickly corrected herself. "10 points to Gryffindor!" She exclaimed. I smiled at Alex but saw her looking at James who was mouthing something to her. She nodded before smirking. She looked at Sirius who smirked back and nodded threat Remus who smiled and nodded. They got up when the bell rang and went to McGonagall's desk. Alex dropped something before they rushed out, all laughing and smirking.
"So, we need to speak with you. Alone!" Sirius said. Alex nodded and smiled at me. Little did I know, that was the last smile I would ever get from her for the rest of my life.
