I was the first one to go in since the other two forced me to. He led me to the back of the house, and we sat down on the stairs. “Your name?” he asked. “Emily Pons,” my voice was quiet. He cleared his throat “And your age?” “I’m sixteen.” This man had a lot of questions, and we were just started. “Okay, I need you to tell me everything that happened the night that Rosalie disappeared, and don’t leave out any details.” I can't since i'm an expert at lying,  I thought. I inhaled and began, “So we were all sitting on the bed, just sharing secrets and all, and after that we fell asleep, and then we woke up really early in the morning, and found out that Rose wasn’t there.” The cop looked at me as if he waited for me to continue. Once he knew I wasn’t going to he said “That’s it?” I raised my eyebrows, “Well it was one night, and you can’t expect a lot of events.” He glared and me, then turned away and exhaled. “Call the blonde one.” I knew he was referring to Christina, so I went back and called her. She walked slowly to the back, just to waste time. Since Julia was alone, I told her to wait there in case Christina came looking for her. I noticed that half the cops were almost gone, so I walked around the house, until I came across a broken glass bottle.

It was in front of the side of the house. I walked closer to it, and saw small words written in sand, you can’t find me, you never will. Go away from them, and from me. If you come near us, the next thing I will bury aside from your trust is you. I gulped and bit my tongue. Burying? Why would Rosalie want to bury anybody? For all I knew she was a humble, sweet hearted girl.  I tried convincing myself that it wasn’t Rosalie who wrote this, and that it was someone else. But then again, the only person who had a glass bottle that night was Rosalie. I rushed back to find Julia, but I found out Christina had taken her place. “Where were you, I was looking for you,” Christina said. “Yeah, because you clearly made an effort to go around and look,” I waved my hand to prove a point. Instead of answering, she just rolled her eyes. “Anyways, I found something that might be interesting,” I said. She turned her head towards me, “Another note?” I tilted my head, “Well, sort of, just come here.” I led her to the ‘broken bottle message’ and, ironically, she chuckled. I looked at her in disbelief, “Really Chris?” She shook her head, “I’m sorry, it’s just funny, you think that Rosalie wrote this, don’t you?” I nodded. “First off, do you know how stupid that is? And second, this is Rosalie we’re talking about. Rosalie Burnett, the girl that was crazy but too shy to even exceed her limits. Imagine her burying someone.” “That’s what I thought but then again, she was the only one who had a beer bottle.” Christina sneered at me, “Root beer companies are everywhere and anyone could have the same bottle.” I turned away from her, “Look if you’re too confident about this case that you don’t have any interest in what I’m saying, you can just back off,” and I walked away.

Julia ran towards us, “That guy asked too many questions, and it’s annoying.” I nodded in agreement. “So Ms. Magnificent here found another note, written in the sand,” Christina told Julia. “What, another one? What’s it about this time?” Julia asked. I began to speak until Christina cut me off, again. “So we found a note that said ‘I will bury you after I bury your trust’”  I just stared at her until she said something, “What?” I gritted my teeth, “You can’t just belittle me whenever you want to you know!” I was practically yelling. Christina always got on my nerves ever since “The Emily Act” got spoiled. I don’t exactly hate her, but I don’t like her like I used to, and I bet she feels the same way. “Look you don’t always get to pick whatever I can say or I can’t say,” Christina said, and she turned away. She sucked in a sharp breath and turned around again, “You know you’ve been a pain, a huge pain ever since the Act? And it’s irritating, so just stop before I have to do something, and you’re not gonna like it.”  I exhaled, “Actually, Christina, I wasn’t the one who tried to make her friend suicide.” As soon as I said that sentence, I regretted it badly. Christina’s mouth fell open, along with Julia’s. “Christina, you what?” Julia asked. We never told Julia about Hailey’s brother, Michael. Christina thought that there was something about Julia she didn’t trust. But that was until Rosalie forced her to become friends with Julia. I bit my lip and I walked towards my car, trying to get far away from them both. As soon as I sat in the car, they were coming towards it. “You have to tell me everything, about Hailey, Michael, and the others I don’t know about. Please,” spoke Julia. I simply nodded, don’t know what to say. Julia raised her eyebrows, signaling me to start. I knew this was a bad idea, but I had to tell her.

I gulped, “So that afternoon when you dropped you off from the mall, remember?” I said. Julia nodded, giving me her full attention. “Uh, we lied to you saying that we would all go home, when we were actually going over to Hailey’s house for a little while. So while we were there, the three of us were talking about our day, while Hailey’s brother came along. Michael knew about something that only Christina and Hailey knew, and I could tell it was bugging him. So I talked to him about it and he told me to stay away from Christina, because our friendship won’t last long, and he gave me a CD to play when I got home. There was a video on that CD that Michael secretly recorded. It was about how Hailey and Christina just friended me to gain more friends and they had nothing to do with me. Every little secret that Christina had, spilled because of that video, and it hurt so bad since I liked Christina at that time, and I felt betrayed, and ready to take my own life because I was lied to by my own best friend.
