"I'm sorry..." I began and Jelani's head snapped back to look at me in surprise. "...that you're being a whiny bitch."

"Wha-"

"You took it upon yourself to steal my mate and then I did something in a short amount of time that you couldn't do in all the time that you knew Jelani and you're mad at me about it? Let's remember that I didn't ask for any of this not to mention you should be happy that Jelani is becoming a better version of himself."

"B-But...That's not what I did!" Marin protested, jumping up onto his feet.

"Really? That's exactly what it seems like you're doing. You're bitching about me helping Jelani? Did you hear me bitching about you mating my own mate? No. Am I mad about it? Hell yes! But I'm not going to allow that to bring down my mood. It's something that already happened so I'm going to either figure out a way around it or I'm going to do something about it." I snapped and then turned around, storming out of the hyena's pen.

He couldn't be serious!

He was jealous because I was helping Jelani get over his issues with his family? How selfish was that? Would he have preferred him stay under their thumb for the rest of his life? Wasn't that what this place was about? Becoming the better version of ourselves? Everyone who was brought here had problems and Jelani was no different.

"Wait!" Jelani called just as I began my trek back inside.

"What?" I huffed, not turning around. This whole thing was proving ridiculous.

"I know it's asking a lot to get along with Marin while my family is here but is it at all possible to be at least civil while they're around? The last thing I need is my family finding a weakness and exploiting it. When we're back in our room you can despise him as much as you want." He explained and I had to admit with all the progress that he was making with his family I didn't want to be part of the reason that changed.

"Fine but I don't want to have to talk to him during the day if I don't want to and not to mention I better be going with you guys to see Jali. I haven't been anywhere in this place except the rooms and I want to see what the dungeons look like."

"They're not dungeons Horus. It's a whole separate facility underneath us that houses and helps to rehabilitate not detain and punish. You'll see that it is simply a super secure facility that helps not harms." He explains.

"We shall see." I hummed as I continued to walk off back to the front of the home. Jelani's parents and Asha were standing there, arms crossed over their chest, waiting for us and as soon as they saw me walk up they straightened up, glares back on their faces and impatience in their eyes.

"Are we ready yet?" His mother questioned, annoyed.

"Yes. Let us go now." Jelani voiced from behind me. I stopped walking forward, waiting to be led to the detainment facility. Marin walked up beside me, quietly. Cutting my eyes to the side I looked down on the petulant brat and saw him standing beside me with his head down, hopefully embarrassed at his own actions.

Jelani took a few steps forward so that he was right in front of the main door. Standing right on the spot where he sunk me the first time I was here. He opened his arms out, palm up just as the ground beneath our feet began to rumble and shake. In a jagged circle the earth surrounding us began to separate and then lower us into the ground itself.

The light began to decrease and a small squeak from beside me caused me to look down at Marin who was staring up into mouth of the huge whole where the only source of light remained. With a sigh and an eye roll I dropped my arm around the smaller male's shoulders and pulled him in close to my side.
