The Machine pulled my umbrella and coat up from the bell tower in the abandoned school. I ran up through the old, dusty desks and the other assorted clutter and debris as I reached the bell tower ladder. I climbed up the what-seemed-like-millions-of-rungs ladder and finally reached the top. He was gone, he had even left his signature hole in the wall shaped like him. I couldn't believe it. I had missed him again and this time he had the one thing that could finally close this case! He just got away like that! Of course I tried to chase after him. It was hopeless he was literally running on air. (He is powered by oxygen.) I started taunting him because I know he loathes to be taunted. "Hey you tin can!" I shouted. "The Machine" turned around. "Yeah you! You overpowered lemon!" That started to aggravate him, But it still wasn't enough to get him to charge. "Come here and fight like a normal human being!" This one really hit home since he thought robots were passed equal to human kind. I finally got him to charge at me, and boy he really did! I moved so his heat seeking body would go through the wall in order to get to me. Once he shoots himself he can't stop going until he runs out of heat battery. (Yes he runs on oxygen and battery power.) "The Machine" ended up going through both walls since I stepped out of his way in the nick of time. But what i didn't plan for was for his battery to be fully charged. I knew that I couldn't go as far as his battery could take him! It was time to call in the favors.
