Mel P.O.V.
As we left the bathrooms and walked past the flight deck, i was aware of people staring at me and Aauron. I could tell Aauron didn't care much, he kept a firm grip around my shoulder, keeping his head high and silently talking me out of running.
When we got to the command center, his arm dropped from my shoulder as he closed the door behind us.
I turned to him, "Can you go get my brother? He knows how to pilot it too." Aauron nodded and left. I walked over to the left wall, where there was a calender for Earth's days. On Earth, it was Thursday. Scribbled under Friday's date was Dock in St. Powerston, Ivornium (20.) Thank god I know what those numbers mean.
The numbers that follow the name of each planet that has been discovered mean in what order they were discovered in, Earth being 1. Ivornium was the 20th planet for humans to step foot on and live on. Not everyone knows how to interpret planets, mostly captain learn when they go get their flying license. Its sort of like a driving test, but instead of piloting mini-vans and sedans, you learn to pilot air-crafts such as PIAT's , ACOSD's, and ACOLD's. A PIAT is any Plane for Inner-Atmospheric Travel. An ACOSD is any standard Air Craft Of Small Distances. An ACOLD, which is what Celia is, is a standard Air Craft Of Long Distances. Pretty easy to remember, right? 72% of people that take the flying test fail. Thankfully, my dad passed his.
I also know how to get to Ivornium. After that, I have no clue where to go.
I heard footsteps in the hall and looked for the next docking place. There was nothing else on this month, so I flipped to the next page. Still nothing. I flipped another page. Still nothing. I began to get alarmed, how far away was this planet? I flipped another page and found myself at the end of the calender, with still no writing.
I groaned and ripped the calender off the wall, sending it across the room towards to door.
"Woah, there! Watch where you throw stuff!" I heard the teasing chuckle of Aauron's voice and it only added fuel to my fire.
I spun around to face him. "Theres nothing. Nothing! Nothing after where we're supposed to dock tomorrow." I saw his face grow serious for once in his life, before the teasing smile returned. He bent down to pick up the calender from at his feet and looked through it.
"Maybe he doesn't write down the next docking place until we've docked there? Like, he won't write the next one till we dock tomorrow?" I stared at him and my eyes narrowed into a glare. "It's just a suggestion, Mel. Maybe you should take more of them, considering we won't know where we're going."
"My father was the best pilot you could find to travel you home safely. He always had a plan. He was the most organized man you'd ever meet. He wouldn't be doing something like that unless he didn't trust his crew. And he trusted each and every-" Aauron cut me off with a look that said that I missed something. He also took a step forward, meaning he was one step closer to me. I snapped my fingers. "He didn't trust them! People pranked him all the time. Teenagers pranked him. Which means he had reason to believe that someone was planning something against him and he wanted to be on the safe side. So he must have a journal of some kind to put the plans in! Oh, you're a genius!" I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist and felt his arms around my shoulders. I pulled away and jogged into the hallway and towards my father's quarter's. running into Lucas on the way. "Come with me!" I grabbed his hand and pulled him along with me, we passed the 'nursery' and dodged people as we kept running.
We got to my father's quarters and I finally explained everything to Lucas. "So, we're looking for a journal of some kind?" He asked me, somewhat confused.
"Yes, lets get searching," I replied as Aauron walked in. They both nodded and we started looking through his stuff.
"Hey, does this look familiar?" I heard Aauron call out. I turned and saw him holding a light-brown leather journal with a binding of somekind around it.
"Yes, actually. He bought that in the last place we docked, Marlin, which also happens to be around the time when he started to get pranked. Coincidence? Probably not."
